METHOD FOR PROCESS WATER TREATMENT
A method for treating process water of a flotation arrangement, the flotation arrangement including a flotation arrangement including a mineral flotation line and a process water treatment arrangement for treating underflow of the of the mineral flotation line. The method includes the steps of a) dewatering underflow from the flotation in a gravitational solid-liquid separator; b) subjecting supernatant from step a) to cleaning flotation for collecting at least fine particles and residual flotation chemicals, for separating at least fine particles and residual flotation chemicals from the supernatant into cleaning flotation overflow, and for forming purified process water as cleaning flotation underflow; c) removing cleaning flotation overflow as tailings, and d) recirculating purified process water into the mineral flotation line.
Floatation separation apparatus
A floatation separation apparatus includes a stirring tank, a stirring pump installed in the stirring tank, a floatation tank into which flocculated water flows from the stirring tank through an overflow dam, a scraping device (scraper) configured to scrape floating substances in the floatation tank, a treated water tank into which treated water in the floatation tank flows, and a pump and a hose for returning the treated water in the treated water tank to a raw water tank. The stirring pump sucks air and water inside the stirring tank, and discharges water mixed with air bubbles to a lower part of the stirring tank. The height of the overflow dam is adjustable.
System for recovering fat, oil and grease from wastewater
A system for recovering fat, oil and grease (FOG) from wastewater has multiple annular flotation zones in a concentric configuration surrounding a central column to create progressively increasing surface areas for FOG and solid particles flotation, and thereby enhance FOG recovery and removal. Each flotation zone is equipped with an independent pressurized micro air and ozone bubbles distribution system. A controlled amount of ozone can be injected into the wastewater along with recirculated effluent and micro-size air bubbles. Upon the release of pressurized air-ozone-water mixture, micro-size bubbles are generated and distributed in each flotation zone to effectively float up FOG and solid particles in the wastewater stream.
TREATING PER- AND POLY-FLUOROALKYL SUBSTANCES IN LANDFILL LEACHATE
The present disclosure provides for devices, systems, and methods of separating PFAS compounds from wastewater leachate. After separation, the PFAS compounds can be rendered less harmful. The present disclosure provides for devices, systems, and methods that uses aeration-induced foaming to isolate PFAS from landfill leachate into a concentrated, volume reduced liquid (coalesced foam), which can be separated and treated.
Enchanced system and method for treatment of soil and groundwater contaminated with PFAS
A method and enhancements for the decontamination of water containing one or more PFAS contaminants includes introducing a foaming agent into the water, and injecting a gas through a diffuser and into the water so as to form a plurality of bubbles in the water, the one or more PFAS contaminants accumulating on the plurality of bubbles. The plurality of bubbles is allowed to rise, forming a foam at the surface of the water. The resulting foam is then collected and transported away from the surface of the water, where it condenses into a liquid and is treated to regulatory standards.
METHOD OF ACYLATING AMINO ACIDS AND USES OF N-ACYL AMINO ACID PRODUCTS
The present invention relates to a method of preparing N-acyl amino acids selected from N-acyl cysteine compounds, N-acyl serine compounds, N-acyl aspartic acid compounds and N-acyl glutamic acid compounds. The present invention also relates to the use of N-acyl cysteine, N-acyl serine, N-acyl aspartic acid and N-acyl glutamic acid surfactants, in removing per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) from mixtures containing PFASs, such as soil and groundwater contaminated with PFASs and for use in cleaning compositions, detergent compositions and toothpaste compositions.
METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR PROCESS WATER TREATMENT
A method of treating process water of a flotation plant is disclosed. The flotation plant comprises a mineral flotation line and a process water circuit for treating underflow and/or overflow of the flotation line. The process water circuit comprises a gravitational solid-liquid separator for dewatering underflow and/or overflow of the mineral flotation line to separate sediment from supernatant comprising at least water and unrecovered fine particles comprising valuable material; and a recover water tank for collecting process water. According to the method, prior to leading supernatant from the gravitational solid-liquid separator into the recover water tank, it is subjected to cleaning flotation, in which at least 90% of the flotation gas bubbles have a size from 0.2 to 250 μm, in a cleaning flotation unit. An arrangement for treating process water of a flotation plant, and its use are also disclosed.
Water treatment apparatus using lamella structure
A water treatment apparatus using a lamella structure according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a first treatment tank which includes a plurality of inclined plates and is configured to pass water subject to treatment between the inclined plates adjacent to each other and a second treatment tank which is installed at a rear end of the first treatment tank to accommodate the water subject to treatment and into which bubbles are supplied, wherein the plurality of inclined plates include positive electrode plates and negative electrode plates that are alternately arranged, and the water subject to treatment passes between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate.
Nozzle for dissolved air flotation system
A nozzle for a dissolved air flotation system includes a housing, a nozzle connector, and a nozzle body. The housing has an inlet formed at one side and an outlet formed at another side. The nozzle connector couples to the inlet and has an inflow path formed in a longitudinal direction. The nozzle body is disposed in the housing, and includes: a collision portion formed at a first end portion of the nozzle body such that a fluid introduced along the inflow path of the nozzle connector 10 changes its flow direction and collides with an inner wall of a side portion of the housing, a plurality of faces formed at sides of the nozzle body, a plurality of side paths defined between the faces and the inner wall of the housing, and a spurt hole defined at a second end portion of the nozzle body.
