ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE MASKING TAPE
20230002646 · 2023-01-05 ·

Electrically conductive masking tapes include an electrically conductive backing and an electrically conductive pressure sensitive adhesive layer. The pressure sensitive adhesive contains an acrylate-based copolymeric matrix, a crosslinker, an electrically conductive filler, and at least one antioxidant. The acrylate-based copolymeric matrix is the reaction product of a polymerizable mixture including at least one first alkyl(meth)acrylate monomer with a homopolymer Tg of less than −50° C., and at least one hydroxyl-functional alkyl(meth)acrylate with a homopolymer Tg of less than −10° C. The electrically conductive tape is capable of being laminated to and cleanly removed from a substrate surface, after being subjected to harsh conditions such as plasma vapor deposition conditions.

Painting in commercial, residential, and retail environments requires extreme care to avoid paint being deposited where it is not required. Drop cloths are commonly used to protect a floor or furniture during the painting process. However, these are generally simply plastic sheets to provide a barrier to the liquid paint and nothing more. Accordingly, it would be advantageous to provide a drop sheet or tarp that supports a liquid material drying process such as by dehydration, coagulate, etc. or form solid materials thereby reducing the instances of subsequent paint transfer from the drop sheet or tarp directly or indirectly to other surfaces and/or objects. It would also be advantageous to drop sheet or tarp that provides a non-slip surface which prevents the drop sheet from sliding around and remains well in place without additional weights, tape, etc.

A dispenser for dispensing plastic film for vehicle repair, the dispenser including: a first support adapted to rotatably support a roll of plastic film, and an aperture, wherein the plastic film can be pulled through the aperture from the roll and retracted through the aperture towards the roll.

Device for lacquer transfer
11504739 · 2022-11-22 · ·

A device and method for lacquer transfer includes a lacquer application unit and at least one of a masking application unit and a masking removal unit, the application unit for applying lacquer to a work surface, wherein the masking application unit is configured to apply a masking to the work surface and is attached to the lacquer application unit so the masking application unit is moved in the application direction ahead of the lacquer application unit across the work surface when the lacquer application unit is moved across the work surface in the application direction. The masking removal unit can remove a previously applied masking from the work surface and is attached to the lacquer application unit such that the masking removal unit is moved in the application direction behind the lacquer application unit across the work surface when the lacquer application unit is moved across the work surface in the application direction.

PROTECTIVE COVER FOR CEILING AND WALL MOUNTED FIXTURES
20230057104 · 2023-02-23 ·

A protective cover for covering a ceiling or wall mounted fixture includes an open mouth surrounded by a rim and a flexible body extending from the open mouth and surrounding an interior chamber. The interior chamber is sized and configured to accommodate the entire fixture therein. A drawstring extends about the top rim and is pulled at least at one location to close the open mouth against the mounting portion of the fixture adjacent the ceiling surface, thereby protectively encapsulating the entire fixture within the interior chamber of the cover. An adhesive material may be provided about an inner side of the top rim to help hold the top rim against the mounting portion of the fixture.

METHOD FOR FORMING PARTING LINE

The present disclosure relates to a method for forming a parting line in a coating using an easily peelable coating material. The method includes: (i) attaching a masking tape to a part not to be coated on a boundary between a part to be coated and the part not to be coated along the boundary; (ii) performing a process to improve an adhesiveness with an easily peelable coating material on surfaces of a part in contact with the boundary of the part to be coated and/or a part in contact with the boundary of the masking tape; (iii) applying the easily peelable coating material over surfaces of the part to be coated and the part in contact with the boundary of the masking tape; and (iv) peeling off the masking tape.
