COATING SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED OPERATING METHOD
The disclosure relates to an operating method for a coating system, in particular for a painting system, for coating components (2), in particular motor vehicle body components (2), having the following steps: conveying, by means of a conveying device (3), the components (2) to be coated in a conveying direction through a coating booth (1), coating the components (2) in the coating booth (1) with a coating product by means of an application device (17-19) which applies a spray jet of the coating product, a portion of the applied coating product being deposited on the components (2) to be coated while another portion of the applied coating product floats into the interior of the coating booth (1) as an excess coating product mist (21), and reducing the excess coating product mist (21) from the interior of the booth by means in addition to or other than the downwardly directed air flow generated by a filter ceiling. In addition, the disclosure includes a correspondingly designed coating system.
Apparatus for applying paint to mainly flat parts
Apparatus for painting mainly flat products including a spray booth, in its turn including a plenum, a conveying belt for conveying products at least a device for applying paint, and at least one suction plant, wherein the plenum of the spray booth has a symmetric M-shape including, from the respective peripheries to the centre of the plenum: two first descending surface portions tilted towards the periphery; two second lateral surface portions parallel to the belt; two third descending surface portions, with a tilt towards the centre, opposite the tilt of the first portions; a fourth central surface portion parallel to said belt, the fourth central surface portion being closer to the conveying belt than the lateral parallel sections.

DEVICE FOR REMOVING WET PAINT OVERSPRAY
The invention relates to a device for removing wet paint overspray from an outgoing air flow containing over-spray particles. The device separates wet paint over-spray from an over-spray particle contained in an exhaust air stream. The overspray particles in the exhaust air stream are formed during the painting at an application area of a painting installation. The device comprises of at least one separation apparatus for separating the over-spray from the exhaust air stream. The separation apparatus includes a regeneratable surface filter and the flow path of the exhaust air stream from the application area to a separating device having at least one narrowed area. The central direction of flow of the exhaust air stream remains essentially preserved in passing by the narrowed area.

Apparatus and method for separating particles from a waste air stream of a coating booth
An apparatus for separating particles from an air stream, the apparatus having an inlet region for the waste air stream, an outlet region for the waste air stream, a separating device arranged along the waste air stream, and at least one electrode arrangement which is connected to a high voltage source, wherein a charging region having one or more electrodes is provided to form a layer enriched with electrical charges, and wherein a separating region having separating surfaces is provided, which is subordinate to the charging region. The invention also relates to a method for separating particles from the waste air stream of a coating booth, wherein the waste air stream through a charging region in which particles of the waste air stream are charged, and the waste air stream after leaving the charging region flows through a separating region in which charged particles are deposited on separating surfaces.
