A powder coating plant for coating a workpiece with coating powder includes a booth, which receives the workpiece delivered via a floor conveyor. In addition, the powder coating plant has an upper spray applicator arrangement for spraying coating powder downward, and a lower spray applicator arrangement for spraying coating powder upward. The upper and the lower spray applicator arrangement are thereby oriented toward the same workpiece. In addition, a manipulator is provided, to which the upper and the lower spray applicator arrangement is fastened. The manipulator is formed such that the spray applicator arrangements can be moved at least in the transport direction of the workpiece by the manipulator.

A coating system includes coating robots configured to coat a vehicle, and an operation robot. The operation robot includes a first arm configured to turn around a first axis; a second arm configured to turn around a second axis parallel to the first axis; a third arm configured to turn around a third axis parallel to the first axis; a fourth arm configured to turn around a fourth axis perpendicular to the first axis; a fifth arm configured to turn around a fifth axis parallel to the fourth axis; and a tip jig is supported at the fifth arm and is configured to turn around a sixth axis. The sixth axis is selectively parallel to the fifth axis or perpendicular to a plane which includes the fourth axis and the fifth axis.
Painting Facility
A painting facility 1 includes a painting chamber 3 in which a spray painting operation is effected on a painting object W, an air supplying chamber 2 configured to supply air into the painting chamber 3 via an air supplying section 4a, 4b provided in a ceiling portion 30 of the painting chamber 3, and an air discharging chamber 5 configured to suction air and uncoated paint mist present in the painting chamber 3 via a floor discharging section of the painting chamber 3, two air supplying sections 4a, 4b are disposed in left-right symmetry relative to a position of the painting object W in a width direction of the painting chamber 3 as the center therebetween. Air is released in a radial form from an outlet portion 40 of each one of the two air supplying sections 4a, 4b.

A painting facility 1 includes a painting chamber 3 in which a spray painting operation is effected on a painting object W, an air supplying chamber 2 configured to supply air into the painting chamber 3 via an air supplying section 4a, 4b provided in a ceiling portion 30 of the painting chamber 3, and an air discharging chamber 5 configured to suction air and uncoated paint mist present in the painting chamber 3 via a floor discharging section of the painting chamber 3, two air supplying sections 4a, 4b are disposed in left-right symmetry relative to a position of the painting object W in a width direction of the painting chamber 3 as the center therebetween. Air is released in a radial form from an outlet portion 40 of each one of the two air supplying sections 4a, 4b.

An apparatus for surface treatment of articles comprises a plurality of trays (4) each carrying one or more piece-holding spindles (3). A primary transport assembly (19) removably engages the trays (4) to transfer them according to a step-by-step motion between a plurality of stopping locations (A . . . J) distributed along the movement path (P), along which respective work stations (12, 13, 14, 15) operate. At least one additional transport assembly (31a, 31b) withdraws each tray (4) from the primary transport assembly (19) at one of said stopping locations (A . . . J), for moving it at one of said work stations (12, 13, 14, 15), and engaging it again with the primary transport assembly (19).

The disclosure relates to an operating method for a coating system, in particular for a painting system, for coating components (2), in particular motor vehicle body components (2), having the following steps: conveying, by means of a conveying device (3), the components (2) to be coated in a conveying direction through a coating booth (1), coating the components (2) in the coating booth (1) with a coating product by means of an application device (17-19) which applies a spray jet of the coating product, a portion of the applied coating product being deposited on the components (2) to be coated while another portion of the applied coating product floats into the interior of the coating booth (1) as an excess coating product mist (21), and reducing the excess coating product mist (21) from the interior of the booth by means in addition to or other than the downwardly directed air flow generated by a filter ceiling. In addition, the disclosure includes a correspondingly designed coating system.
System and method for coating workpieces
The invention relates to a system and to a method for coating workpieces using a coating device, which is designed to apply a metal coating to a surface of the workpiece. According to the invention, it is provided that a plurality of coating devices, which are designed as identical coating modules, are provided and are arranged in a module group, that an input measuring station is assigned to the module group, by means of which station a surface of the face of the workpiece to be coated can be detected, that a conveying apparatus is provided, by means of which a workpiece can be supplied to one of the coating modules from the input measuring station, and that an output measuring station is assigned to the module group, by means of which station a surface of the coated face of the workpiece can be detected.

Apparatus (1) for applying paint comprises a device (40) for applying paint that comprises a plurality of spray guns (26) that is movable along a closed path having two parallel sides connected by two circular arcs, a rotating joint (43) for supplying paint provided with a distributor and comprising a plurality of tube-support chains (44), each tube support chain (44) connecting the distributor of the one rotating joint (43) for dispensing the painting product to a respective gun of said spray guns (26), in which each tube support chain (44) has an inverted U-shape provided with two ends, of which—the first end is connected to a first rotating support (61), which is connected to the rotating joint (43) and follows a circular trajectory, while—the second end is connected to a second rotating support (62), which is connected to a support arm (41) of a respective gun (26) and follows in use the trajectory defined by said closed path.
