An electrostatic fluid delivery system that is configured to deliver fluid, such as a disinfectant fluid, onto a surface by electrically charging the fluid and forming the fluid into a spray that can be directed onto a surface, such as a surface to be cleaned. The system is powered by a DC (direct current) power system. The device can electrically or positively charge a liquid or gas.

A handheld portable electrostatic device for electrostatically applying a treatment solution to a treatment site of a patient, including a housing and a cartridge removably disposed in the housing. The cartridge includes a cartridge housing and a nozzle for applying the treatment solution. An electrostatic module is provided to electrostatically charge and ionize molecules of the treatment solution of the cartridge. The tank includes an internal dielectric surface and an external conducting surface, wherein when the liquid is stored in the tank, the tank is configured to act as a capacitor storing electrical energy for electrostatic spraying. The spraying system further includes a power supply, configured to electrify liquid drops of the stored liquid, and a spray nozzle, comprising a spray disk for blowing the electrified liquid drops unto a target.

An electrostatic atomizer can include a paint supply path configured to supply paint to a paint discharge section; and a high voltage supply path configured to supply a high voltage to a discharge electrode, wherein the discharge electrode comprises a semi-conductive material, and wherein the high voltage supply path includes a high resistance near the discharge electrode, and is electrically segregated from the paint supply path.

A method of forming a material structure from structural units contained within a liquid solution in a spray head is described. The liquid solution includes a solvent and a solute, the solute comprising a plurality of the structural units, the structural units including monomer units, oligomer units, or combinations thereof. The method comprises forming droplets of the liquid solution including the structural units, and spraying the droplets on a substrate, thereby substantially increasing the reactivity of the structural units within the droplets relative to the structural units within the liquid solution in the spray head. The increase in reactivity can result from the droplets containing an excess of a particular ion, the ion excess resulting from a voltage applied to conductive walls of the device which dispenses the droplets. The material structure is then formed on the substrate from the more highly reactive structural units within the droplets.

A nozzle device includes a nozzle body and at least one second electrode. The nozzle body extends along a longitudinal axis, and has a top surface, a bottom surface for confronting a first electrode of a workpiece, a recess provided in the bottom surface, and a longitudinal channel extending downwardly from the top surface along the longitudinal axis to be in fluid communication with the recess. The longitudinal channel has an upper section and a lower tapered section which is tapered downwardly to form a lower communication port. A cartridge for an electrostatic spraying device according to the present invention is a cartridge for an electrostatic spraying device, the cartridge comprises a storage bag having a storage section in which a liquid composition is stored, the storage section is surrounded by a joint portion formed by joining a pair of laminates, each of the laminates comprises an innermost layer on the joint portion side, an outermost layer on a side opposite to the innermost layer, and a barrier layer between the innermost layer and the outermost layer, and the liquid composition comprises 50 mass % or more of a volatile liquid agent selected from alcohols and ketones.

An electrostatic spray device, comprising: an electrostatic spray main body capable of containing a liquid containing portion of a cartridge, the cartridge including the liquid containing portion that contains a liquid and a spray unit that sprays the liquid, the electrostatic spray device spraying the liquid by the electrostatic spray main body applying a voltage to the liquid, in which the cartridge has conductivity in at least one portion of the liquid containing portion, and the electrostatic spray main body includes a high-voltage generating unit which generates a high voltage, and a contact portion which is in contact with the portion having conductivity of the liquid containing portion contained in the electrostatic spray main body and applies the high voltage to the liquid in the liquid containing portion through the portion having conductivity.
