An aerosol can spray gun that accepts a top of an aerosol spray gun. The spray gun includes an integral motorized fan. When the trigger on the spray gun is depressed the aerosol spray can dispensing cap is depressed and simultaneously the fan pushes air out through nozzles in the front of the spray gun to control the spray fan pattern. A tab on the cap ensures that the nozzle on the can is oriented forward. Optionally, the air nozzles in the front of the spray gun can adjust the fan pattern between horizontal and vertical.

Fluid sprayer and components of a fluid sprayer

An air-assisted airless spray gun includes a valve cartridge configured to control a flow of air or spray fluid through the spray gun. The valve cartridge includes a housing configured to interface with the spray gun body and fully supporting the flow control components of the valve cartridge. The housing is secured within a bore of the spray gun body. The valve member is supported by the housing and actuatable relative to a seat. The valve is formed between the seal end of the valve member and the seat.

The invention relates to a spray gun apparatus (10) for spraying a fine film coating of liquid, such as paint, lacquer or bond, onto a surface. The spray gun comprises a main body (12) having a fluid throughbore (22), a gas throughbore (16), and a main trigger lever (80) for allowing a user to spray fluid from the gun. A fluid flow adjustment mechanism (52, 58, 74) facilitates adjustment of the quantity of fluid sprayed from the gun for a given displacement of the main trigger lever (80). An engagement surface (86) is provided on the trigger lever and adapted to engage with a corresponding engagement surface (90) of the fluid flow adjustment mechanism. Pivoting movement of the main trigger lever (80) results in translational movement of at least a portion of the fluid flow adjustment mechanism to thereby selectively spray fluid from the gun upon displacement of the main trigger lever.

A coating method that improves uniformity of coatings that settle on more complex objects, like porous substrates, or substrates with hollows or curvy forms, and a device for implementing the method. The coating device includes a deposition chamber, and a loading structure configured to load an object into a position in the deposition chamber and unload the object from the deposition chamber. The coating device includes an atomization element in a bottom part of the deposition chamber, the atomization element creating into the deposition chamber an aerosol volume that includes a floating aerosol region in the top part of the deposition chamber. The loading structure is configured to load the object into a position in the floating aerosol region in the deposition chamber.

The invention relates to a low energy spray gun for spraying thin film materials with a thickness of <40 microns such as high performance, thin viscosity nano-paints, lacquers, varnishes and the like. The spray gun comprises a main body (12) having a fluid inlet (14a) connected to an external fluid source (not shown) and a fluid outlet nozzle (16a). Gas outlets (16b-d) on the main body carry entrained fluid droplets emitted from the fluid outlet (14a) the shape of which are controlled by horn outlets (24) positioned beyond the fluid outlet (14a) and gas outlets (16b-d). First and second gas conduits (20, 22) are connected between a common gas inlet (18) and gas outlets (16b-d) and horn outlets (24) respectively. The cross-sectional area of a portion of the first gas conduit (20) is reduced relative to that of the second gas conduit (22) thus creating a pressure drop and a discernible improvement in fluid atomisation.

FLUID SPRAY GUN TRIGGER MOUNTING AND RETENTION

A spray gun is configured to emit spray fluid and compressed air that impinges on the spray fluid to atomize the spray fluid. A trigger actuates one or more valves of the spray gun to cause spraying by the spray gun. The trigger is mounted to a gun body of the spray gun by a trigger mount. The trigger is removable from the gun body and includes one or more tool interfaces for connecting and/or disconnecting components of the spray gun.

Paint spray gun

The invention relates to a paint spray gun (1) having a compressed air distribution chamber (8) into which a compressed air feed line (10), a round jet line (6) and a wide jet line (7) open, the quantity of compressed air supplied to the compressed air distribution chamber (8), the round jet line (6) and the wide jet line (7) being adjustable via a setting element arranged in the compressed air distribution chamber (8) and rotatable from outside by an actuating element (15) about an axis of rotation (D) extending through the compressed air distribution chamber (8). Said paint spray gun (1) is characterized in that the setting element is formed as a rotary distributor (14) that is held immovably in the axial direction of the axis of rotation (D) and can be rotated about the axis of rotation (D) in order to open and close openings (6, 7, 10) of the round jet line (6) and/or the wide jet line (7) and/or the compressed air feed line (10).
