A multicolor powder center supplies at least one powder spraying device with different types of coating powder as required. The multicolor powder center has at least one powder container for receiving coating powder and at least one pump unit comprising at least one powder pump, in particular a dense flow pump or a diluted flow pump. The pressure side of the at least one powder pump is fluidically connected or can be fluidically connected to the powder inlet of a powder spraying device. The at least one powder container has at least one suction channel which is preferably formed in a suction pipe and which has a suction opening that opens into the interior of the powder container and an opposite discharge opening that opens into a connection, wherein the suction side of the at least one powder pump can be fluidically connected to the connection of the powder container.

Disclosed herein is a powder container for supplying coating powder to a powder coating station. The powder container includes a powder compartment for coating powder, the powder compartment being delimited by side walls, one of which is provided with an outlet port via which the powder compartment is or can be fluidically connected to an inlet of a powder deposition system. The effective flow cross-section of the fluid connection between the outlet port and the inlet of the powder deposition system can be variably adjusted.

A powder feeder according to one aspect of the present disclosure is a powder feeding device that feeds powder from a feeder to a nozzle. The powder feeding device includes a cartridge configured to store the powder in an airtight condition, and includes the feeder. The cartridge includes a port from which the powder is stored and withdrawn, and an open/close valve for opening and closing the port. The feeder includes a connection portion to which the cartridge is removably connected, a supply port configured to supply the powder in the cartridge connected to the connection portion into the feeder, and an opening/closing valve for opening and closing the supply port. The feeder is configured to insert the powder supplied from the supply port to the feeder into the nozzle, and the cartridge and the feeder are configured to form an enclosed space between the port and the supply port in response to the cartridge being connected to the connection portion.

An additive manufacturing powder recirculation apparatus including: a powder recirculation loop having: an inlet for receiving powder from an additive manufacture apparatus; an outlet for supplying powder to the additive manufacture apparatus; and a powder flow path extending between the inlet and outlet. A diverter valve in the powder flow path is configured to selectively place the powder flow in fluid communication with either the downstream powder recirculation loop or a hopper outside of the powder recirculation loop.

A powder conveying device for coating powder includes a powder conveyor having a powder outlet duct and a powder outlet valve for opening or for closing the powder outlet duct. Additionally, a setpoint value generator for specify a setpoint opening period of the powder outlet valve, and a sensor for determining the actual opening period of the powder outlet valve are provided. The powder conveying device furthermore includes an evaluation unit for determining the deviation between the setpoint opening period and the actual opening period.

A powdering system, having a working configuration and a cleaning configuration and including a powder reservoir, including a supply chamber receiving powder; a sprayer, including a powder applicator, and a cleaning inlet, fluidly connected to the supply chamber such that, in the cleaning configuration, a cleaning air supply source can be connected to the cleaning inlet so as to circulate cleaning air in the supply chamber, wherein the powder reservoir includes a discharge opening, arranged through a wall of the supply chamber and opening into the supply chamber, and a movable plug, which is movable between a closing position, in the working configuration, and an open position, in the cleaning configuration, such that the circulation of cleaning air causes residual powder to be discharged through the discharge opening.

A device for the powder coating of objects includes a main body on which an electrode arrangement designed for producing a powder cloud is arranged and on which a metering device is arranged above the electrode arrangement and is designed for the controlled discharge of an amount of a powder onto the electrode arrangement. A powder coating installation is equipped with at least one such device for powder coating.

A discharge apparatus, a forming apparatus, a method of operating the discharge apparatus, and a method of producing a formed body are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a discharge apparatus is used to collide a particle with a fixed surface to fix the particle to the fixed surface, the discharge apparatus includes a first dispenser for discharging an aerosol containing the particle toward the fixed surface at a first discharge rate, and a second dispenser for discharging a gas toward the fixed surface at a second discharge rate faster than the first discharge rate, and the second dispenser discharges the gas so that the gas at least partially overlaps with the aerosol to accelerate at least a portion of the aerosol toward the fixed surface to fix the particle to the fixed surface.

The pump unit is paired with a docking unit, via which the suction side of the at least one powder pump can be fluidically connected to the interior of the powder container as required.

A conveying device is provided for the conveying of coating powder and includes a powder reservoir container that includes, on the bottom, a powder outlet channel. The powder outlet channel is connected to a first powder conveyor for conveying powder out of the powder reservoir container back to a powder storage container. Moreover, a second powder conveyor is provided for conveying powder out of the powder reservoir container to a powder applicator.
