A paint spraying unit for generating a shaped paint jet, including a paint nozzle positioned in a gap, wherein the paint nozzle includes a needle with a needle head that deviates from a rotationally symmetrical cross sectional design and a paint outlet opening that deviates from a rotationally symmetrical cross sectional design. The needle head is displaceable in relation to the paint outlet opening along a longitudinal axis of the needle for controlling a needle valve formed by the paint outlet opening and the needle head. The needle head, with the paint nozzle in a closed position with reference to the longitudinal axis, closes the paint outlet opening in a positive locking manner. In this connection, the needle head and/or the paint outlet opening is/are formed by a material with elastic properties at least in a surface region with which the two components come in contact.

A sanitizing spray system includes a Nitrogen generation system that produces Nitrogen used as a carrier gas source for spraying an alcohol-based disinfecting and sanitizing composition without flashing.

A compact diffuser integrates an atomizer and droplet separator into a surrounding sleeve, threadable to a bottle neck as an assembly. The assembly fits into a base, housing a motor and air pump, sealing the sleeve to a silo in the housing. Controls set time span of intermittent operation, intervening delay, and volumetric flow rate. The assembly pops into (and out of) the top end of a silo in the base, registering (aligning) circumferentially and axially to seal an air path from the pump to the atomizer. Access for applying force to the bottom of the assembly facilitates popping out the assembly when empty, or to simply change scent by changing out the assembly. Entire assemblies may be stored to simplify exchange and reduce chances for spills from reservoirs.

A step cavity type low frequency ultrasonic atomization nozzle with a swirlable vortex impeller, has an air intake casing, an inlet casing, a Laval core, a fixed cap, an adjustable pedestal, and taper rectifying sleeve, swirlable vortex impeller, stepped resonance tube, regulative plunger, positioning lead, second pedestal. The regulative plunger is located in the second stepped hole of the stepped resonance tube, and its axial position is adjustable; the swirlable vortex impeller is fixed on the taper resonance tube through the bearing, and the outer cone surface is matched with the inner cone surface of the taper rectifying sleeve. The resonant cavity is improved so that the two-phase fluid in the cavity can generate higher frequency and greater fluctuation of the pressure fluctuation amplitude, optimize the initial atomization performance of the nozzle, and optimize the nozzle outlet, and increase the swirlable vortex impeller.

A container unit including a plurality of container sub-portions (4) defining a plurality of chambers for containing a liquid substance, each container sub-portion including an outlet, the container unit further including a conduit device (12) serving to connect each of the outlets of the respective sub-portions to an outlet nozzle (8a). In one embodiment, a spray cycle is disclosed having first and second periods of flow allowance and purging respectively. In another embodiment, respective sub-portion (4) controllable liquid displacement devices for dispensing one or more of the liquid substances selected from one or more of the respective sub-portions (4) are disclosed.

A method of texturing a wall or ceiling with non-acoustical joint compound by providing a collapsible bag having an opening at its top and is adapted to contain non-acoustical joint compound for forming a textured coating on the wall or ceiling and providing a spray nozzle having a low pressure input port, a joint compound suction port attached to the opening at the top of the collapsible bag, and an output port for spraying the non-acoustical joint compound. A low pressure stream of air from an air gun attached to the low pressure input port urges a small quantity of the non-acoustical joint compound to be sprayed out of the spray nozzle when the bottom of the collapsible disposable bag is raised above its top to either allow or force the joint compound to flow into the suction port and into the interior of the spray nozzle.

A clotting agent delivery system comprises a frame, a passageway extending along the frame, a discharge opening connected to the passageway, a clotting agent reservoir fluidly connected to the passageway to hold a clotting agent substance, a valve in the passageway to control flow of the substance through the passageway, and an actuator to allow propellent to flow into the passageway, wherein the valve and clotting agent reservoir cooperate to provide clotting agent substance to the discharge opening at constant pressure using the propellant. A method for delivering a clotting agent comprises inserting a delivery catheter into an anatomic area, coupling a clotting agent delivery system to the delivery catheter, the clotting agent delivery system having a reservoir of a clotting agent, operating a valve to release propellant for propelling the clotting agent, and conveying the propellant and the clotting agent to the delivery catheter at a constant pressure.

A back-mounted spray apparatus includes a storage container shaped to receive therein liquid to be sprayed. The storage container includes a pair of side handles integrally formed therewith and a central handle therebetween and integrally formed therewith. Actuation of a spraying assembly of the apparatus causes the liquid from the storage container to be selectively sprayed outwards therefrom.

The storage container has a lower or front peripheral portion that is arc-shaped in a direction extending between sides thereof according to one aspect. The backpack sprayer includes a frame member extending along a rear thereof and to which the storage container couples. The frame member has an aperture extending therethrough which is arc-shaped.

A horizontal frame member is cantilevered from a vertical frame member according to another aspect. The storage container has a lower portion within an inwardly-facing channel shaped to receive and couple to the horizontal frame member.
