Coating head, coating apparatus, and coating method
According to one embodiment, a coating head includes a coating bar, nozzles, a first member, second members, third members, elastic members, and a position controller. The coating bar faces a coating member. The nozzles supply a liquid toward the coating bar. The first member includes first recesses. A portion of the nozzles is between the first recesses and the third members. The portion of the nozzles and the third members are fixed to the first member by the second members. The elastic members are located in at least first, second, or third positions. The first position is between the third members and the second members. The second position is between the portion of the first recesses and the nozzles. The third position is between the portion of the nozzles and the third members. The position controller controls a relative position between the coating bar and the nozzles.
Method for controlling the amount of an adhesive to be applied to a substrate
Controlling application of adhesive on a substrate includes using a gas sensor, obtaining a first sensor signal. The first sensor signal indicates a partial pressure of a gas that arises from a constituent of the adhesive. Based at least in part on this partial pressure, the controller either controls an applicator's delivery of the adhesive to a substrate or causes an error signal indicative of the adhesive's unsuitability for adhesion.
Apparatus and method for applying paint with roller coaters, preferable to photovoltaic panels
Roller coater (1) for applying paint to mainly flat panels (8), comprising, in the direction of conveying of panels: a feed roller (9), preferably coupled to a contrast roller (39); an application head for applying paint, comprising an applying roller (3) and a dosing roller (11), said applying roller being preferably coupled to a contrast roller (33); a conveyor (12) for the panels (8) to be painted, preferably in the form of a closed belt conveyor;
characterized in that said applying head (9) is covered by its own cover (5), said application head is covered by a preferably vertical cover (2) and a preferably horizontal cover (6), which covers are removable, said applying roller being rotatably mounted on rotation supports (15) placed at its two ends, which are disengageable from said applying roller, said applying roller being withdrawable from its working position and distanceable from said working position in the application head through a withdrawing path providing an initial translation for disengaging it from its rotation supports in the direction of the feed roller (9) and a successive translation in a lifting direction, i.e. distancing it from said conveyor (12), there being provided a lifting member of said roller, preferably coupleable to the ends of said applying roller, the interaxis distance between said feed roller (9) and said applying roller (3) is at least equal to the length of the initial translation path for disengaging the applying roller from the rotational supports (15), and lower to the minimal length of the panels paintable with said roller coater (1).
ELECTRODE MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
An electrode manufacturing apparatus includes a shaping roll and an opposed roll that sandwich an electrode therebetween and rotate in opposite directions, and a temperature adjusting unit. The temperature adjusting unit reduces a temperature difference between a central portion and an end portion in an axial direction, of at least one roll of the shaping roll and the opposed roll.
Apparatus and process for face painting substrates with PGM and base metal solutions
The principles and embodiments of the present invention relate generally to systems and methods for applying a catalytic coating to the outwardly facing edges of the cell walls of a catalytic substrate to reduce the amount of soot that accumulates at the entrances of the substrate cells that can increase back pressure and reduce the flow of exhaust gases through the substrate.
STICKER HALF-CUTTING APPARATUS
The present invention comprises: a support roller part rotating while supporting the lower side of a transferred sticker sheet; a half-cutting roller part provided at the top of the support roller part so as to rotate by engaging with the support roller part, and having a half cutter for cutting a printed part of the sticker sheet passing the support roller part; and an anti-adhesion fluid supplying unit for applying an anti-adhesion fluid on the surface of the half cutter coming into contact with the printed part of the sticker sheet.
GLUING STATION AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SUCH A GLUING STATION
A gluing station for applying glue to product elements guided in a product stream is intended to permit continuation of the production process and gluing of the product elements in a particularly simple and reliable manner even after a temporary machine stop or production standstill. For this purpose, according to the invention, a moistening system is assigned to a glue application roller that can roll on the product stream. During operation of the gluing station, in the event of a stopped product stream, the glue application roller is pivoted away from the product stream and the transfer roller for the duration of the standstill and is kept rotating, whereby the surface of the glue application roller is moistened.
DEVICE FOR PROVIDING ADHESIVE
The invention relates to a device for providing adhesive without an adhesive basin, including a conveyor unit, having a first conveying device, a first inlet and a first outlet, through which an adhesive present at least in part as a solid is conveyed, and further comprising a heating unit, having a second inlet and a second outlet, and a first heating device for softening and/or liquefying the adhesive. In order to provide an efficiently and cleanly working device and a method for providing adhesive, a dosing unit having a dosing inlet, a longitudinal slit and a roller is provided.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR APPLYING A WAX COATING TO A WORKPIECE DURING A STRAP-MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a system and method for applying a wax coating to a workpiece during a strap-manufacturing process. A controller controls the flow of water and the flow of a wax solution from separate sources into a blender that blends the water and the wax solution into a blended solution. An applicator applies the blended solution to a workpiece that is then longitudinally slit and wound into coils of (waxed) strap. A sensor periodically analyzes the blended solution and sends signals to the controller, which determines the concentration of wax in the blended solution and causes a display device to display the concentration of wax in the blended solution to enable an operator to monitor the concentration of wax in the blended solution.
