Coating Device
A coating device for supplying a liquid to a substrate, particularly in the form of an optionally printed web, foil, strip or sheet, comprises a reservoir for holding a quantity of liquid. Coating means are provided which are able and configured to take liquid from the reservoir and transfer it to the substrate. Supply means deliver the liquid into the reservoir during operation. The supply means are controllable and are able to lead a constant liquid flow into the reservoir. The reservoir is provided with level detecting means which are able and configured to detect a liquid level in the reservoir. Provided between the level detecting means and the coating means is a control which controls the coating means during operation on the basis of a detection (LS) of the liquid level in the reservoir in order to maintain the liquid level at a fixed value.

The inventive concept provides a substrate treating apparatus. The substrate treating apparatus includes a housing having a treating space for treating a substrate therein; a support unit configured to support the substrate at the treating space; a nozzle for supplying a liquid to the substrate placed on the support unit; a liquid supply unit configured to supply the liquid to the nozzle and have a flow meter; and a flow rate measuring unit configured to verify an error of the flow meter; and a controller for controlling the liquid supply unit and the flow rate measuring unit, and wherein the flow rate measuring unit comprises: a cup for accommodating the liquid; a measuring means configured to verify a level of the liquid accommodated in the cup; and a discharge line for discharging the liquid within the cup and having a discharge valve installed thereon, and wherein the controller controls the liquid supply unit to discharge a liquid of a first amount to the cup for a first time in a state at which the discharge valve is closed, and controls the measuring means to determine whether an error has occurred in the flow meter by determining whether the level of the liquid accommodated in the cup is the first amount.

Provided is an apparatus for supplying a chemical liquid, the apparatus including: a storage tank in which a chemical liquid is stored; a discharge line through which the chemical liquid stored in the storage tank is discharged; a level tube connected to the storage tank so as to check a water level of the chemical liquid in the storage tank and receiving the chemical liquid at the same water level as the water level of the chemical liquid in the storage tank; and a controller for controlling a first valve installed in the discharge line, in which the level tube has one end connected to an upper space of the storage tank and the other end connected to the discharge line.
SYSTEM FOR SUPPLYING UNMELTED HOT MELT ADHESIVE PIECES
A hot melt adhesive supply system is disclosed. The hot melt adhesive supply system includes an outer container defining an upper cavity and a lower cavity. The upper cavity includes an inner container having a top opening to receive unmelted hot melt adhesive pieces and a bottom aperture. The system also includes a dispensing mechanism between the upper cavity and the lower cavity. The dispensing mechanism regulates the dispensing of the unmelted hot melt adhesive pieces from the upper cavity to the lower cavity. The dispensing mechanism includes a base plate and one or more rotating members that rotate to move the unmelted hot melt adhesive pieces through a gap defined between the base plate and the bottom aperture. The system also includes a transfer conduit that communicates the unmelted hot melt adhesive pieces from the lower cavity to a hot melt adhesive melter.

System and methods for applying a liquid coating to a substrate are disclosed herein. One exemplary method includes a flow control routine in which the velocity of an applicator, or other parameter affecting the amount of material applied to the substrate, is iteratively adjusted. The amount of the adjustment performed in each iteration is tracked. When the sum of the adjustments by the flow control routine exceeds a predetermined threshold, a fan width control routine is initiated in which the fan width of the stream of material applied by the applicator is adjusted.

A liquid coating apparatus includes a liquid storage assembly to store a liquid, a pressure sensor to detect a remaining amount of liquid in the liquid storage assembly, a discharge assembly to discharge the liquid in the liquid storage assembly to an outside, a negative pressure pump to generate a negative pressure lower than an atmospheric pressure, a negative pressure adjusting container with an internal pressure adjusted to a predetermined negative pressure by the negative pressure pump, a pressure adjustment controller to control drive of the negative pressure pump based on a detection result of the pressure sensor, and a pressure switch to adjust pressure in the liquid storage assembly to the predetermined negative pressure in the negative pressure adjusting container.
Apparatus and method for melting and dispensing thermoplastic material
An apparatus for melting and dispensing thermoplastic material is provided that includes an un-heated hopper having an inlet for receiving particles of a thermoplastic material and an outlet for discharging the particles and a heated manifold including at least one cavity formed therein and having an inlet and an outlet the inlet communicating with the outlet of the hopper for receipt of the particles from the hopper. The hopper is disposed external of the heated manifold. The heated manifold is effective for melting the particles into molten thermoplastic material therein. The apparatus further includes a pump having an inlet in fluid communication with the cavity. An outlet of the pump is in fluid communication with an inlet of a dispenser and an outlet of the dispenser is effective for dispensing the molten thermoplastic material therethrough.
