The piston body includes a front side and a rear side. The rear side of the piston cover is arranged adjacent to at least a part of the front side of the piston body and includes a valve member configured and arranged to be received within the piston body and to extend into the piston body towards the rear side of the piston body. The piston cover moves relative to the piston body upon actuation of the valve member, and the piston cover is non-releasably connected to the piston body by a part of the piston body being overmolded to the radially extending portion of the attachment portion of the piston cover.
REUSABLE CARTRIDGE PISTON
A reusable cartridge piston for use with film bag cartridges comprises a piston base, an intermediate portion and a piston head. An extension axis extends from the piston base through the intermediate portion and through the piston head. The piston also includes a lip sections extending radially outwardly with respect to the extension axis from a sidewall of the piston head, the piston base and the piston head being spaced apart from one another by the intermediate portion, with a gap between the piston base and the lip sections. The lip sections are respectively spaced apart from one another by slits formed between two neighboring lip sections, with the slits extending in a radial direction with respect to the extension axis of the piston. The piston base, the intermediate portion, the piston head and the lip sections are formed as one piece.
PISTON, CARTRIDGE, DISPENSER
A piston for a support sleeve of a dispensing assembly, the piston has a substantially cylindrical outer shape and includes a piston body as well as first and second film bag retainers arranged at opposite sides of the piston body.
PLUNGER SYSTEM, DEVICE AND METHOD
A plunger for dispensing a material from a collapsible package in a package tube. The plunger includes a main wall a plurality of sectors. The sectors include a flange extending therefrom at an angle to create a plunger side configured to receive an end of the collapsible package. The sectors adjacent to each other are separated by a slot defined through the flange and the sectors. The sectors are configured to bend in relation to the main wall when a predetermined force is applied to the sectors by the end of the collapsible package. The plunger can be utilized with a dispensing system for dispensing material contained in the collapsible package from a dispensing device. The dispensing system includes a piercing nozzle attachable to a dispensing end of the dispensing device, and the plunger attachable to a plunger rod configured to compress the package against the piercing nozzle.
FLUID MATERIAL DISCHARGE APPARATUS
A purpose of the present invention is to prevent leakage of a sealant from the rear end side of a plunger in a sealant discharge operation. The sealant discharge apparatus is equipped with a piston that moves axially inside a cartridge and a contact portion, the outer peripheral surface of which has a cylindrical shape, that is provided at the tip of the piston and can contact the inner peripheral surface of a plunger provided in the cartridge housing a sealant, and the contact portion is provided to be movable radially in the piston.
Piston for a collapsible cartridge
A piston for a collapsible cartridge for dispensing a material, the piston includes a rigid portion and a flexible portion. The rigid portion has a first diameter, a first end and a second end. The first end is configured to be disposed in a material dispensing direction. The flexible portion has a second diameter less than the first diameter, a first end disposed in the material dispensing direction and a second end disposed in an opposite direction. The flexible portion is disposed on the first end of the rigid portion such that the second end of the flexible portion is disposed to face the first end of the rigid portion. The flexible portion is configured to radially expand and longitudinally compress upon a force applied to the first end of the flexible portion to compress the collapsible cartridge between the flexible portion and an interior surface of a support cartridge.
Application Device and Method for Producing an Application Device
The invention relates to an application device (1) for applying a viscous material onto a substrate, comprising: an inner container (3) for accommodating the viscous material, said inner container having a discharge opening (18); an outer casing (2) surrounding the inner container (3) and having a substantially hollow-cylindrical neck region (6) with an inner diameter D1 and an opening (7) formed in the neck region (6); and an applicator (4) connected to the outer casing (2), wherein, by means of pressure on the outer casing (2), the viscous material can be conveyed out of the inner container (3) into the applicator (4) and by means of said applicator can be applied onto a substrate, wherein the application device (1) has a ventilation device, comprising an insert (19), which is connected air-tightly to the inner container (3) in the region of the discharge opening (18), is substantially hollow-cylindrical and has an outer diameter D2, wherein the outer diameter D2 of the insert (19) is smaller than the inner diameter D1 of the neck region (6) of the outer casing (2), and wherein the insert (19) has, on its outside, latching means (22) with the aid of which the insert is latched in the inserted position within the neck region (6) of the outer casing (2), wherein, in this inserted position, as a result of the different diameters D1 and D2, an annular gap is formed between the insert (19) and the neck region (6) of the outer casing (2), through which annular gap air can flow from outside into the intermediate space between the outer casing (2) and the inner container (3) and vice versa, and wherein the connection between the applicator (4) and the outer casing (2) is also permeable to air and the applicator (4) comprises a sealing means (25) by means of which, when the applicator (4) is in the inserted position, the inner volume of the inner container (3) is sealed off in an air-tight and leak-proof manner from the intermediate space between the outer casing (2) and the inner container (3).
