PLUNGER FOR DISPENSER, DISPENSER, AND METHOD FOR DISPENSING LIQUID MATERIAL
The present invention provides a plunger (20) for a dispenser, the plunger including a large diameter body portion (23) provided with ring-shaped contact surfaces (24, 25) that contact an inner wall surface of a syringe, a rear opening (26) formed in a backside of the large diameter body portion (23), and a small diameter body portion (22) provided with a front opening (28), wherein the front opening (28) is formed in a size allowing a liquid material to be directly pressed by pressurized air, and allowing at least the plunger (20) to move following a fall in water head position, which is caused with discharge and consumption of the liquid material. With those features, the liquid material can be prevented from adhering to the inner wall surface of the syringe, and the liquid material in the syringe can be prevented from flowing backwards.
Reusable cartridge piston
A reusable cartridge piston for use with film bag cartridges comprises a piston base, an intermediate portion and a piston head. An extension axis extends from the piston base through the intermediate portion and through the piston head. The piston also includes a lip sections extending radially outwardly with respect to the extension axis from a sidewall of the piston head, the piston base and the piston head being spaced apart from one another by the intermediate portion, with a gap between the piston base and the lip sections. The lip sections are respectively spaced apart from one another by slits formed between two neighboring lip sections, with the slits extending in a radial direction with respect to the extension axis of the piston. The piston base, the intermediate portion, the piston head and the lip sections are formed as one piece.
Reversible Caulk Dispenser
A reversible and reusable caulk dispenser for use with a caulk gun. The caulk dispenser has a tubular cartridge with a plunger inside the cartridge near a first open end of the cartridge and an end cap with a nozzle that can be attached at an open second end of the cartridge. A foil packet of caulk or sealant material is inserted in the cartridge of the dispenser. A closed end of the packet is positioned adjacent the plunger while an open end of the packet is at the end of the cartridge where the end cap is attached. The dispenser is used in a standard caulk gun and the caulk material expelled through the nozzle as the caulk gun is operated. When the packet is emptied the dispenser can be reused with a new packet inserted and the end cap attached now to the opposite end of the cartridge.
Piston and cartridge arrangement having said piston
The invention relates to a piston, in particular, for use as a discharge and/or locking piston of a cartridge comprising a base body (25) having a lateral wall provided with sealants (14, 17) and a front-end wall having a vent (21). A locking element (18) is mounted rotatable in the vent (21), whereby a venting channel (23, 24) can be opened or closed by the relative rotation of the locking element (18) in the vent (21). Additionally, the invention relates to a cartridge configuration having such a piston.
Method of making a two-component piston
A method of making a two-component piston, the two-component piston including a piston cover as the first component and a piston body as the second component. The piston cover is arranged adjacent to the piston body and is configured to be moved relative to the piston body.
MULTI-LAYER SELF-ADHESIVE GEL AND APPLICATOR
Provided is a multi-layer self-adhesive gel suitable for use in cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, and/or scenting of toilets, sinks, wash-bowls, bathtubs, showers, and for delivery of shower gel or shampoo in the shower, bathtub or wash-bowl. The multi-layer self-adhesive gel has at least two different self-adhesive gel layers. One gel layer (A) includes at least one solvent (a1), at least one adhesion promoter (b1) which is different from (a1), and at least one surfactant (c1) which is different from (a1) and (b1). Another gel layer (B) includes at least one solvent (a2), at least one adhesion promoter (b2) which is different from (a2). When the multi-layer self-adhesive gel is applied onto a flat surface of a substrate, (A) and (B) together have a continuous, essentially even surface, remote from the surface of the substrate. Also provided are an applicator containing the multi-layer self-adhesive gel and methods of filling the applicator.
PLUNGER FOR PNEUMATIC DISPENSER
A cartridge (12) for a viscous-material dispenser includes a plunger (10) that is slidable within a cylinder (18). A seal body (104) forms between an outer circumferential surface (82) of the plunger and an inner circumferential surface (84) of the cylinder when a viscous material flows into a radial tubular clearance (106) that continuously extends both axially and circumferentially between the outer circumferential surface and the inner circumferential surface. Ridges (100) may be formed on the outer circumferential surface of the plunger to guide the inflowing viscous material and facilitate the formation of the seal body.
PISTON FOR A CARTRIDGE, CARTRIDGE AND METHOD OF VENTING A CARTRIDGE
A piston for a cartridge has a medium side and an actuation side, and includes a piston body, a piston cover arranged adjacent to at least a part of the piston body and a valve arranged within the piston body and adjacent to the piston cover, the piston body including a centering portion arranged at an outer region of an outer peripheral surface thereof. The centering portion including at least one venting device.
IN-LINE CENTRIFUGAL SEALANT DEBUBBLER
Systems for removing gas from a sealant and transferring gas-less sealant to an applicator are provided. The system may comprise: a rotatable chamber including: a first opening for receiving sealant; a hollow conduit arranged such that when gas accumulates in the center of the rotatable chamber when the rotatable chamber is rotating, the gas is ventable from the rotatable chamber; a second opening for receiving gas-less sealant from the rotatable chamber after the gas is vented from the hollow conduit; and a motor operatively configured to rotate the rotatable chamber; and a gas-less sealant applicator in fluid communication with the second opening of the rotatable chamber such that gas-less sealant released by the second opening is flowable into the applicator. The system may also include a robot arm including an end effector with a sealant dispensing nozzle. A method for applying sealant to an aircraft structure is also provided.
