The controller is configured to simultaneously coordinate the movement of the gantry assembly and the tilt and rotate subassembly to position and orient the nozzle of the dispensing unit a predetermined distance and orientation from the electronic substrate while dispensing material along a three-dimensional path.
METHOD FOR COMPENSATING LEAKAGE LOSSES AND CONVEYOR SYSTEM FOR CONVEYING A DEFINED VOLUME OF A LIQUID
A method and a device for compensating leakage losses in a line system, in which at least one positive displacement pump and at least one shut-off member are provided, wherein the method and device can be used for the isobaric metering of liquid plastic components and wherein the actual liquid pressure in the system is determined by way of a pressure measuring device and, when the shut-off member is closed is regulated to a pressure target value by actuation of the positive displacement pump, wherein the conveying loss rate of the positive displacement pump, which ensues to maintain the pressure target value when the shut-off member is closed is added to a target delivery rate in order to compensate for the leakage loss occurring at the corresponding pressure target value.
JETTING DEVICES WITH SUPPLY CONDUIT ACTUATOR
A device configured to jet one or more droplets of a viscous medium includes a housing at least partially defining a jetting chamber, a supply conduit that supplies the viscous medium into the jetting chamber, a jetting nozzle, an impacting device configured to force the one or more droplets of the viscous medium through the conduit of the jetting nozzle to be jetted as the one or more droplets, and a supply conduit actuator configured to adjust a hydrodynamic resistance of at least a portion of the supply conduit to viscous medium flow from the jetting chamber via the supply conduit, based on moving through the portion of the supply conduit, independently of the impacting device, to adjust a cross-sectional flow area of the portion of the supply conduit.
DEVICE FOR APPLYING VISCOUS MATERIAL TO WORKPIECES
A device for applying viscous material to workpieces includes a rotary lance in a holder apparatus and rotatable about a longitudinally-extending rotation axis, the lance having at least one material outlet. A needle valve associated with each material outlet has a longitudinally-extending valve needle used to close each material outlet on a valve seat. Each valve needle has an associated cylinder with a plunger chamber in which a plunger is movable by pressure applied by a fluid, the valve needle being permanently connected to the plunger. A tappet is connected to each plunger, the tappet, at its upper end facing away from the at least one valve seat, being sealingly guided out of the associated plunger chamber. The rotary lance has a measuring element which can be acted upon by the tappet and moved longitudinally; and the holder apparatus has a sensor for determining the measuring element position.
MATERIAL APPLICATION DEVICE AND PUSHING MEMBER
A material application device has a pushing part, and a driving part. The driving part includes a first driving part capable of imparting a driving force to the pushing part by a motor, and a second driving part capable of imparting a driving force to the pushing part by supplying a fluid into an inner space S isolated from the outside.
Application device for a viscous adhesive having a rotatable nozzle
An application device for a viscous adhesive comprising a base body having a first inlet for a viscous adhesive; and a nozzle body which is rotatable about an axis with respect to the base body and which surrounds a portion of the base body radially on the outside with respect to the axis, wherein, via the interaction of a first dynamic seal with a separating agent chamber, in which a separating agent is stored, the introduction of humidity into the adhesive before it exits the nozzle opening is effectively prevented.
Robot end effector for dispensing an extrudable substance
A robot end effector for dispensing an extrudable substance comprises a chassis, cartridge bays, attached to the chassis and each shaped to receive a corresponding one of two-part cartridges, and a manifold, comprising a manifold outlet, manifold inlets, and a valve inlet. When the two-part cartridges are received by the cartridge bays, the manifold inlets are in fluidic communication with corresponding ones of the two-part cartridges via static mixers, attached to cartridge outlets of the two-part cartridges. The robot end effector additionally comprises a head assembly, comprising pairs of fittings, configured to selectively supply compressed air from a pressure source to the two-part cartridges when the two-part cartridges are received by the cartridge bays, so that contents of the two-part cartridges are concurrently extruded through the cartridge outlets.
