Water-based hydrogel blend coating and method of application to elastomeric articles
A water-based hydrogel polymer coating and a method of application to natural rubber or other elastomeric latex products are provided. The water-based hydrogel polymer is mixed with a blend of at least one elastomeric material to provide a hydrogel polymer blend composition. The water-based hydrogel polymer blend composition is applied in a single application to an elastomeric article, such as gloves, without additional solvents in the polymer blend composition and without a separate acid or chemical priming step. The water-based hydrogel coating herein provides increased lubricity to facilitate improved wet and dry donning of the elastomeric article.

Paint/coating applicator locating apparatus and method
An apparatus and method for locating a position of a coating applicator in a coating process for applying coating material to an article. At least one positioning member is attached to a spray applicator at one end and carries a marker at an opposite end capable of depositing a visible track on a markable surface removably attached to the surface of the article to be coated. The positioning member provide a resilient biasing force on the marker to maintain the marker in contact with the surface of the article despite surface topography changes as the article and the marker move relative to each other. The visible track(s) define a centerline or the overall spray pattern of the spray applicator.

Curable film-forming compositions comprising catalyst associated with a carrier and methods for coating a substrate
Methods of coating a substrate are disclosed. The methods comprise applying shear force to a coating composition either before or during application of the coating composition to the substrate. The coating composition comprises a water-borne or solvent-borne film-forming resin and a catalyst associated with a carrier, wherein at least some of the catalyst can be released from the carrier upon application of the shear force. Also provided are coated articles prepared by the methods.
