Systems and Methods for Automating the Application of Friction-Modifying Coatings
A system and method for the application of friction-modifying coatings to roadways, walkways, pathways and other areas subject to vehicular, human or animal traffic, the system and method comprising the controlled, simultaneous application of binder and filler to a surface of a substrate, using a mobile device which passes over the substrate as the binder and filler are being applied. The system includes a mobile platform configured for being coupled to a vehicle. A binder applicator is mounted on the mobile platform and includes an array of spray nozzles coupled to a resin container. An air knife is mounted on the mobile platform and coupled to an air compressor for generating an air curtain. An aggregate dispenser bar including at least one aggregate dispenser is coupled to an aggregate bin and mounted on the mobile platform for dispensing aggregate.

METHOD FOR HIGH-SPEED COATING THE INNER SURFACE OF A BLANK
In a method for the high-speed coating of the inner surface of a blank (1), preferably a can, the blank (1) rotates about it axis of rotation and a coating is applied to an inner surface of the blank (1). In order to allow for an increase in production rates and for a homogeneous coating of the inner surface of the blank (1), even with low coating thicknesses, without causing an increase in operating costs, a gas flow (10) is blown into the blank (1) via a nozzle (9) to accelerate the blank (1) and to distribute the coating in the direction of the axis of rotation (12).

Method of Polishing to Enhance the Reflective Potential of Automotive Sun Shades Coated with Reflective Metallic Paint
The quality of an automotive sun shade is frequently determined by the reflective paint used in the manufacturing of the sun shade. This invention discloses a method of polishing reflective metallic paint after its application onto the material of automotive sun shades leading to an improvement in the reflective potential of the surface of the paint. The outcome is a measureable improvement in product performance.
Inkjet printing of wood colours
An inkjet ink set consisting of a black inkjet ink, a cyan inkjet ink and two inkjet inks A and B, optionally complemented by a white ink and/or a colourless ink, wherein the inkjet ink A has a hue angle H* between 70 and 85 and a chroma C* between 30 and 80; the inkjet ink B has a hue angle H* between 20 and 40 and a chroma C* between 30 and 80; and the CIE L* a* b* coordinates were determined on polyethylene coated white paper for a 2° observer under a D50 light source.

Bioflavonoid coated materials
Polymeric materials are described which have a bioflavonoid coating, the bioflavonoid content of the coating comprising at least naringin and neohesperidin. The use of such coated polymeric materials is also described as well as the process for making the coated polymeric materials.

Fire-rated structural OSB panels with overlaid water-resistant barrier
A wood or engineered wood structural panel, such as, but not limited to, OSB (“oriented strand board”) or plywood, that is both fire-resistant and water resistant. The panel is factory-coated with a product that provides fire resistance. The treatment gives it a Fire-Resistant (FR) performance (for use in a one- or two-hour rated assembly). The panel also is overlaid or coated in a factory setting with a weather/water resistive barrier (WRB). The structural panel thus combines a fire-resistant structural sheathing and WRB product in one integrated panel produced at a factory prior for installation at a job site.
