20220410207 · 2022-12-29 · ·

Provided is a method for forming a parting line when an easily peelable coating material is used as a coating material, The present disclosure is a method for forming a patting line in a coating using an easily peelable coating material. The method includes: (i) attaching a masking tape to a part not to be coated on a boundary between a part to be coated and the part not to be coated along the boundary, here, the masking tape including a lower masking tape constituent layer and an upper masking tape constituent layer; (ii) applying an easily peelable coating material over the part to be coated and a part in contact with the boundary of the masking tape; (iii) peeling off the upper masking tape constituent layer; hardening the easily peelable coating material; and (v) peeling off the lower masking tape constituent layer.

Method of preparing epoxy coated bus bars for use in electrical distribution equipment
11508495 · 2022-11-22 · ·

An automated process for producing exposed electrical contact areas on the conductor part of an epoxy coated bus bar. When the epoxy coating is in the glassy state, one can safely and economically, preferably via automated apparatus, put the epoxy into the rubbery state by positioning the bar and applying localized heat at a select area of the coating; monitoring the heating to above the glass transition temperature of the epoxy, bringing cutting tools into contact with the epoxy for cutting and removing the rubbery coating away from the bus bar, and cooling the bus bar to bring adjacent coating back to the glassy state, thereby leaving an exposed electrical contact area of conductor on the bus bar with little or no surface damage.

Device for lacquer transfer
11504739 · 2022-11-22 · ·

A device and method for lacquer transfer includes a lacquer application unit and at least one of a masking application unit and a masking removal unit, the application unit for applying lacquer to a work surface, wherein the masking application unit is configured to apply a masking to the work surface and is attached to the lacquer application unit so the masking application unit is moved in the application direction ahead of the lacquer application unit across the work surface when the lacquer application unit is moved across the work surface in the application direction. The masking removal unit can remove a previously applied masking from the work surface and is attached to the lacquer application unit such that the masking removal unit is moved in the application direction behind the lacquer application unit across the work surface when the lacquer application unit is moved across the work surface in the application direction.

METHOD FOR FORMING PARTING LINE

The present disclosure relates to a method for forming a parting line in a coating using an easily peelable coating material. The method includes: (i) attaching a masking tape to a part not to be coated on a boundary between a part to be coated and the part not to be coated along the boundary; (ii) performing a process to improve an adhesiveness with an easily peelable coating material on surfaces of a part in contact with the boundary of the part to be coated and/or a part in contact with the boundary of the masking tape; (iii) applying the easily peelable coating material over surfaces of the part to be coated and the part in contact with the boundary of the masking tape; and (iv) peeling off the masking tape.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM

An information processing apparatus includes a controller configured to execute first processing of providing an incentive to a first user who brings a first painting film to a predetermined base. The first painting film is a painting film including an easily peeling layer and that is peeled off from a first vehicle.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD AND NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM

The present disclosure provides information about a coating history of a vehicle. An information processing apparatus executes acquiring, for a vehicle with a later peelable second coating film formed being layered on at least a part of a first coating film, history data that is data about work on the second coating film, and acquiring a first image that is an external appearance image of the vehicle before the second coating film being formed, based on the history data.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD

The present disclosure properly calculates a wage for coating of a vehicle. An information processing apparatus of the present disclosure accepts specification of a first vehicle on which a third coating film is to be newly formed after a second coating film formed on a first coating film is peeled from a vehicle body. The information processing apparatus calculates a wage for operation of forming the third coating film for the first vehicle based on a period elapsed since peeling of the second coating film.

Polyester film and preperation method thereof

A polyester-based film having excellent scratch resistance, durability, transparency, and visibility and a process for preparing the same. The polyester-based film comprises a base layer and a coating layer on at least one side of the base layer. The light passage according to Relationship 1 is 91% or more, or the total transmittance for light of 380 nm to 780 nm is 92% or more, it has excellent optical properties, durability, visibility, and reliability. Thus, it can be applied to display devices such as smartphones, tablet PCs, and laptops. In addition, in the polyester-based film according to an embodiment, the strain with respect to tensile load satisfies a specific range, whereby it is possible to achieve the flexibility that hardly causes deformation even when a certain load is maintained for a long period of time. Thus, it can be applied to flexible display devices, particularly, foldable display devices.

Adhesive composition and masking article for producing precise paint lines

An adhesive article for masking a portion of a substrate surface from a liquid coating applied to the surface includes a support having first and second opposed major surfaces, and a cationic or zwitterionic adhesive composition disposed on at least a portion of at least one of the first and second opposed major surfaces. The adhesive composition provides a barrier that impedes the migration of the coating past the edge of the adhesive article.

Method and installation for painting a surface of a component with a pattern

This method for painting a surface (S62) of a component (6) with a pattern includes at least the following steps consisting in applying a first coating product on at least a portion of the surface, automatically applying at least one portion of a mask (12) on a portion (Z62) of the surface, applying a second coating product and on the surface and removing the mask (12). Preferably, the mask (12) is at least partially automatically applied in the form of at least one layer (122, 124, 126) of non-atomized fluid, the layer being obtained by moving (A1) an applicator (16) delivering the non-atomized fluid along the portion (Z62) of the surface (S62) where the mask (12) is to be applied.
