Device and methods for depositing materials on hard surfaces
A device and method for applying a material to a hard surface. The device has a sensor and one or more applicator nozzles. The device further includes a reservoir for containing a material to be deposited, and a CPU. The method includes providing information from the sensor about the surface to the CPU, which uses the information to identify where the material is to be deposited and/or how much to deposit.

The present disclosure proposes a process for producing a structured antiwear film, comprising the process steps of: a. providing a base antiwear film, b. applying a formable outer paint layer to at least part of the area of the base antiwear film, c. at least partially structuring the outer paint layer by means of a digital printing process to create a structuring of the outer paint layer, and d. curing the outer paint layer such that the outer paint layer is first partly cured, wherein UV radiation with a wavelength in a range from ≥150 nm to ≤250 nm is used for the partial curing, and wherein the outer paint layer is then cured to completion, and wherein e. the outer paint layer, before being supplied to the printing unit for partially structuring the outer paint layer and/or during the printing operation for partially structuring the outer paint layer in the printing unit, is treated with means for changing the electrostatic charge of the outer layer, in that the outer layer is electrostatically discharged.

SLURRY COATING LEVELING
Disclosed herein is a system for slurry coating leveling. The system includes a guide frame and a scrapper apparatus coupled to the guide frame. The scrapper apparatus includes a plurality of scrapper fingers aligned substantially parallel to each other. The system also includes a contour guide coupled to the scrapper fingers. The contour guide is configured to guide movement of the scrapper fingers across a surface of a component having a slurry coating. The scrapper fingers conform to a contour profile of the surface to level the slurry coating on the surface of the component.
SLURRY COATING LEVELING
Disclosed herein is a system for slurry coating leveling. The system includes a guide frame and a scrapper apparatus coupled to the guide frame. The scrapper apparatus includes a plurality of scrapper fingers aligned substantially parallel to each other. The system also includes a contour guide coupled to the scrapper fingers. The contour guide is configured to guide movement of the scrapper fingers across a surface of a component having a slurry coating. The scrapper fingers conform to a contour profile of the surface to level the slurry coating on the surface of the component.
Method for manufacturing a value document, value document and printing device
A method for manufacturing a value document includes: providing a value document substrate; printing the value document substrate with magnetically orientable effect pigments which are dispersed in a UV-curable lacquer; the step of exposing the lacquer containing the magnetically orientable effect pigments to a dynamic magnetic field; the step of irradiating the lacquer containing the effect pigments with UV radiation; and optionally the step of embossing the cured or at least partially cured UV lacquer.
ACOUSTIC PANELS AND METHODS FOR PREPARING THEM
The disclosure relates to acoustic panels and methods for preparing them. The disclosure relates more particularly to panels having a porous facing and to methods for making such panels. One aspect of the disclosure is an acoustic panel comprising a base structure. The base structure has one or more edges, an outward major surface having a total area, and an inward major surface opposing the outward major surface. The base structure has a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) of at least about 0.3. The panel includes a coating layer directly disposed on the outward major surface of the base structure, the coating layer being formed of an open-cell foam. The coating layer has an exterior major surface opposing the outward major surface of the base structure. The coating layer is substantially scattering for light in the wavelength range of 380 nm to 780 nm, and has an absorption coefficient of less than 0.5 for acoustic frequencies in the range of 100 Hz to 10,000 Hz.
Edge exclusion apparatus and methods of using the same
A method of deposition is disclosed. The method can include dispensing a formable material over a substrate, where the substrate includes a non-uniform surface topography, and where the substrate includes an active zone and an exclusion zone. The method can also include curing the formable material in the exclusion zone to form a circular edge between the exclusion zone and the active zone, contacting the formable material with a superstrate, and curing the formable material in the active zone to form a layer over the substrate, wherein curing is performed while the superstrate is contacting the formable material.
Coating method, coating bar head and coating apparatus
An embodiment of the present invention provides a coating method, a coating bar head and a coating apparatus which enables coating in which changes in coating film thickness is less likely to occur, even when performing meniscus coating at a high speed. This coating method is a coating method including: supplying a coating liquid between a coating bar head and a substrate to form a meniscus; and moving the substrate, wherein a cross section of the coating surface of the bar head in the direction of coating, is a convex curve, and has bending points at both ends of the curve.
