TREATED POROUS MATERIAL
The present disclosure describes a treated cellulosic material comprising: a cellulosic material having a porous structure defining a plurality of pores, at least a portion of the pores containing a treating agent comprising: a polymer comprising an olefin-carboxylic acid copolymer; and a modifying agent comprising a hydrophobic amine.
METHOD OF FABRICATING HIGH-PERFORMANCE POLY (VINYLIDENEDIFLUORIDE-TRIFLUOROETHYLENE), P(VDF-TRFE) FILMS
The present invention relates to a process of fabricating P(VDF-TrFE) films by modifying the solvent composition. Two solvents MEK and DMSO were mixed in pre-determined ratios and that co-solvent mixture was used for fabricating the P(VDF-TrFE) films. By virtue of such method driven P(VDF-TrFE) films, the ferroelectric capacitors comprising of the same were found to achieve low voltage operation, thermal stability and fatigue endurance, which indicated improved ferroelectric performance of the devices. In addition, the films made by same process also yielded high piezo- and pyro-electric coefficient, indicating improved piezo- and pyro-electric performances of the devices.
WATER-BASED EXTRUSION PRIMER FOR POLYETHYLENE
The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a multilayer laminate, the multilayer laminate obtained by the method according to the invention and to forming an extrusion primer for making the multilayer laminate using an aqueous coating composition comprising at least one specific copolymer.
LIQUID-REPELLENT HEAT SEALABLE FILM AND COATING AGENT
The present invention is a liquid-repellent heat sealable film that is excellent in liquid repellency and heat-sealing property, and has durability. The film comprises: a resin layer applied and formed on at least one surface of a substrate; and a large number of oxide microparticles adhered to the surface of the resin layer, wherein, in the resin layer, a plurality of heat-sealable particulate resins is bonded to each other, while maintaining their particulate forms, and is also bonded to the substrate surface to form a projecting and recessed structure, and the oxide microparticles are adhered to the surface of the particulate resin in an exposed state, without being buried.
MULTILAYER STRUCTURE
There is provided a multilayer structure comprising a layer (A) containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer having an ethylene unit content of 1 mol % or more and less than 20 mol %, a viscosity-average polymerization degree of 200 to 5000, and a saponification degree of 80 to 99.7 mol %, wherein a block character of ethylene units is 0.90 to 0.99; and a layer (B) containing at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a polyolefin resin, a polyester resin and a polyamide resin. Such a multilayer structure has excellent oxygen-gas barrier performance. In addition, an aqueous solution containing the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer exhibits excellent viscosity stability even after long-term storage. Therefore, even after a long period of time from preparation of the aqueous solution, it can be uniformly applied to a substrate and thus, a multilayer structure having excellent oxygen-gas barrier performance can be provided.
COATING COMPOSITION COMPRISING A CARBAMATE-FUNCTIONAL POLY(ETHYLENE-ACRYLATE) COPOLYMER AND METHOD OF COATING SUBSTRATES
Disclosed herein are coating compositions including at least one carbamate-functional poly(ethylene-acrylate) copolymer as binder and at least one crosslinking agent, a method of coating substrates with such coating compositions and coated substrates obtained by the method. Further disclosed herein is a method of using such coating compositions for improving the scratch resistance of coating layers.
