Magnetic powder
Provided are a SmFeN magnetic powder which is superior not only in water resistance and corrosion resistance but also in hot water resistance, and a method of preparing the powder. The present invention relates to a method of preparing a magnetic powder, comprising: plasma-treating a gas; surface-treating a SmFeN magnetic powder with the plasma-treated gas; and forming a coat layer on the surface of the surface-treated SmFeN magnetic powder.
SWAB FLOCKING DEVICE, AND FLOCK BLOWING AND FLOCKING PROCESS FOR SWAB
Disclosed are a swab flocking device and a flock blowing and flocking process for a swab. A conveying drag chain transversely penetrates through a flocking box, several swab hangers are arranged on the conveying drag chain at intervals, and the conveying drag chain is connected to a first motor. Several blowers are arranged on an outer side of the conveying drag chain in the flocking box. During flocking, a swab stick is hung on the swab hanger and then is conveyed forwards by the conveying drag chain, and several blowers are configured to blow flocks onto an end head of the swab stick.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING FILM
A method for producing a film includes: coating a surface of a substrate with a composition containing a polymer having a structural unit represented by formula (1) and having a number average molecular weight of 13000 or more and a solvent, heating a coating film formed by the coating, and removing, with a rinsing liquid, a part of the coating film after the heating, wherein the rinsing liquid to be used contains a basic compound. In the formula (1), Y.sup.1 is a single bond, —CO—NR.sup.2—, a divalent aromatic ring group, a divalent group containing —O—, or a divalent group containing —CO—NR.sup.2—. A.sup.1 is a single bond, —O—, —S—, or —NR.sup.3—. R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom, a monovalent hydrocarbon group, a monovalent halogenated hydrocarbon group, or a monovalent group having a heterocyclic structure.

SURFACE TREATMENT FOR AQUEOUS SLURRY-BASED ENVIRONMENTAL BARRIER COATING
A method for coating a ceramic matrix composite substrate with an environmental barrier coating includes the steps of: treating a surface of a ceramic matrix composite substrate to adjust wettability of the surface; and applying an aqueous slurry-based environmental barrier coating to the surface. The treating step can be a plasma treatment to remove organic contaminants, and can also be a treatment to modify oxidative state of the surface. The treatment can produce a surface for treatment that is hydrophilic and has a contact angle with aqueous-slurry coating materials of less than 40 degrees.
Medical device with drug-eluting coating on modified device surface
Medical devices such as stents, stent grafts, and balloon catheters include a coating layer applied over a modified exterior surface of the medical device. The modified exterior surface comprises an exterior surface of the medical device subjected to a surface modification that decreases a surface free energy of the exterior surface before application of the coating layer an exterior surface. The coating layer comprises a hydrophobic therapeutic agent and at least one additive. The modified exterior surface may affect the release kinetics of the drug from the device, the crystallinity of the drug layer, the surface morphology of the coating and particle shape, or the particle size of drug of a therapeutic layer in the coating layer. For example, the effects caused by the modified exterior surface may increase the retention time and amount of therapeutic agent in tissue.
CAN CONTAINER
A first aspect of the present invention provides a can container including: a can body of a cylindrical shape, and at least a surface coating layer, in which the surface coating layer is formed on at least a part of an outer peripheral surface of the can body, the surface coating layer has a resin component, and surface free energy of a surface of the surface coating layer is 30 mJ/m.sup.2 or more and 50 mJ/m.sup.2 or less at a temperature of 25° C.
Medical devices
Described are medical devices including expandable tubular bodies configured to be implanted into a lumen, wherein the outer surface of the expandable tubular bodies are coupled to a polymer(s).
Method for producing laminate
The present invention is to provide a method for producing a laminate having excellent adhesion properties. An embodiment of the present invention is a method for producing a laminate, the method including: a step 1 of dry-treating a surface A of a plastic to obtain a dry-treated plastic having a surface B that has been dry-treated; a step 2 of wiping the surface B with a cleaning tool containing a composition for wiping, the composition containing at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of water and polar solvents, and a silane coupling agent, to obtain a cleaned plastic having a surface C that has been wiped with the cleaning tool; and a step 3 of applying at least one selected from the group consisting of adhesives and primers on the surface C to obtain a laminated body.
TEMPORARY PASSIVATION LAYER ON A SUBSTRATE
A substrate includes a metal component on a surface. A polymeric layer is deposited on the surface using molecular layer deposition. The polymeric layer includes a metalcone and has a thickness from 1 nm to 20 nm. The polymeric layer is stable at room temperature, but will undergo a structural change at high temperatures. The polymeric layer can be annealed to cause a structural change, which can occur during soldering.
