SENSING DEVICE WITH A TEMPERATURE SENSOR
An electronic device including an array of ultrasonic transducers, a temperature sensor for determining a temperature of the array of ultrasonic transducers, and a control module communicatively coupled to the array of ultrasonic devices and the temperature sensor. The control module is for receiving the temperature and for controlling operation of the array of ultrasonic transducers based at least in part on the temperature.
DIELECTRIC ELASTOMER VIBRATION SYSTEM AND POWER SUPPLY DEVICE
A dielectric elastomer vibration system includes a dielectric elastomer vibrator with a dielectric elastomer layer and a pair of electrode layers, and a power supply device producing a potential difference across the electrode layers. The vibrator exhibits various modes or regions of relationship between potential difference and deformation induced by the potential difference: a high-response region in which a relatively large deformation is induced; a low-response region of lower-potential difference in which a relatively small deformation is induced; and a low-response region of higher-potential difference in which a relatively small deformation is induced or in which a break point of the dielectric elastomer layer is included. The power supply device produces the potential difference by applying across the electrode layers a vibration signal voltage, which is generated by combining an AC voltage with a bias DC voltage corresponding to a potential difference falling in the high-response region.
ULTRASONIC TRANSMISSION INSTRUMENT AND ULTRASONIC IMAGING DEVICE
To provide an ultrasonic transmission instrument that can uniformly transmit ultrasonic waves in each direction around the instrument, even when the instrument is made of a material through which the ultrasonic waves cannot be transmitted. In an ultrasonic transmission instrument according to the invention, a light transmission member is disposed at an emission end of an optical waveguide, and an outer peripheral member covers an outer periphery of the light transmission member and is made of a light absorbing material.

ULTRASOUND TRANSDUCER
An ultrasound transducer may include a printed circuit board (PCB) and a transducer array. The transducer array may include a, an array of Piezo resistive elements supported by the substrate, at least one connector footing supported by the substrate, electrically conductive lines connected to the piezoresistive elements, and an array of connectors electrically connected to the printed circuit board and to the electrically conductive lines. The at least one connector footing supports the array of connectors.
