Articles of manufacture, including an apparatus for acoustic wave based agglomeration, are provided. The apparatus may include a well and an acoustic wave device. The well may be configured to hold a suspension that includes a plurality of particles. The acoustic wave device may be configured to generate a plurality of acoustic waves. The plurality of acoustic waves inducing acoustic streaming within the suspension. The acoustic streaming agitating the suspension to form an agglomerate comprising at least a portion of the plurality of particles. Methods for acoustic wave based agglomeration are also provided.

A nebulizer for producing an inhalable mist of droplets, comprising at least an aerosol generator, a housing having a liquid reservoir and control electronics, the aerosol generator consisting at least of a membrane, a piezo element and a substrate plate, and the control electronics comprising at least an RF generator, a controller, memory and switching elements, and an inductor. The aerosol generator forms a resonant circuit together with the inductor and the control electronics are configured to at least partly excite the aerosol generator to vibrate. The aerosol generator is configured such that aerosol droplets are producible by vibrations and the RF generator is configured to vary the amount of aerosol produced.

Discloses is an aerosol generating device including: a main body; a cartridge detachably coupled to the main body and configured to contain an aerosol generating material; and an ultrasonic vibrator arranged in the cartridge, comprising electrodes on different surfaces, and configured to vibrate the aerosol generating material, wherein the electrodes are formed on the ultrasonic vibrator by deposition.

A hookah device (202) which attaches to a hookah (246). The hookah device (202) comprises a plurality of ultrasonic mist generator devices (201) for generating a mist for inhalation by a user. The hookah device (202) comprises a driver device (202) which controls the mist generator devices (201) to maximize the efficiency of mist generation by the mist generator devices (201) and optimize mist output from the hookah device (202).
