Powder sieving system using a broad frequency filter
A powder sieving system that is configured as part of a powder reclamation system is provided. The powder sieving system includes a support structure; and a filter housing movable relative to the support structure, the filter housing defining an inlet and an outlet and comprising a broad frequency filter disposed between the inlet and the outlet, the broad frequency filter including: a first filter fixed relative to the filter housing, the first filter being substantially rigid; and a second filter coupled within the filter housing adjacent to the first filter, the second filter being substantially flexible such that the second filter is movable relative to the first filter within the filter housing when the filter housing moves relative to the support structure, the first filter and the second filter configured to restrict a first portion of a powder larger than a predetermined threshold from reaching the outlet.
SCREEN ASSEMBLY FOR A VIBRATING SCREENING MACHINE
According to one aspect there is provided a screen assembly for a vibrating screening machine. The screen assembly comprises a screen chassis and a screen for screening material such as a solution containing liquid and solids. The screen chassis comprises a first face and a second face opposite to the first face, the screen chassis defining a plurality of openings therethrough from the first face to the second face for allowing passage of a material that has been screened. The screen is attached to the first face of the screen chassis and covering the openings of the screen chassis at the first face. The screen chassis may be made of a light-weight, stiff material. The screen may be made of a durable material such as metal. A method for making a screen assembly is also provided.
PERFORATED PLATE STRUCTURE, SUCH AS AN ELECTRODE
A plate structure, such as a plate electrode, comprising two outer layers and an intermediate layer. Both outer layers are provided with a pattern of recesses, such as hexagonal or circular recesses. The recesses on one outer layer are offset with respect to the recesses in the other outer layer. The intermediate layer comprises through-holes, each through-hole connecting a recess at one outer layer with a partially overlapping recess at the opposite outer layer.
Assembly and method for separating selected defective objects from a group of objects used in tobacco industry
An assembly for separating selected defective objects from a group of objects used in tobacco industry, the group comprising regular objects having a form of substantially spherical external surface of a determined diameter and the remaining objects being defective objects, the assembly comprising a sieve element (105) having through channels (106) or holes and a generally flat blocking element (107) located under the sieve element, the blocking element having an upper surface/107B) and through holes (108), the sieve element and the blocking element being displaceable in a direction parallel and/or perpendicular with respect to each other at least between a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration the channels or holes of the sieve element, and the holes of the blocking element enable the regular objects and selected defective objects to enter the upper parts of the channels and they enable the regular objects to fall through the lower parts of the channels and through the holes of the blocking element, while they hold said selected defective objects. In the second configuration the channels or holes of the sieve element and the holes of the blocking element enable said defective objects held in the first configuration to fall through the assembly. A method of separating selected defective objects from a group of objects used in tobacco industry using the assembly according to the invention.
INJECTION MOLDED SCREENING APPARATUSES AND METHODS
Screening members, screening assemblies, methods for fabricating screening members and assemblies and methods for screening materials are provided for vibratory screening machines that incorporate the use of injection molded materials. Use of injection molded screen elements provide, inter alia, for: varying screening surface configurations; fast and relatively simple screen assembly fabrication; and a combination of outstanding screen assembly mechanical and electrical properties, including toughness, wear and chemical resistance. Embodiments of the present invention use a thermoplastic injection molded material.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING TONER FOR DEVELOPING ELECTROSTATIC IMAGES
A method for efficiently producing a toner for developing electrostatic images, which contains very few coarse particles and having excellent printing characteristics. The method can comprise a sieving step of removing coarse particles from colored resin particles by, using an air flow, suppling the colored resin particles to a sieve, wherein a metal mesh laminate comprising at least two metal meshes attached to each other by sintering, the metal meshes being different in opening size, is used as the sieve; wherein the metal meshes of the metal mesh laminate are laminated in order of opening size and, of the metal meshes constituting the metal mesh laminate, one having a smallest opening size is disposed on a side of supplying the colored resin particles; and wherein the opening size of the metal mesh having the smallest opening size is in a range of from 32 to 110 μm.
Vibratory separator screen
A vibratory separator includes a screen frame having an upper screen surface and a plurality of openings and a first screen insert disposed in a first opening of the plurality of openings of the screen frame, the screen insert having a screen surface positioned at a first height above the supper screen surface. The vibratory separator also includes a second screen insert disposed in a second opening of the plurality of openings of the second screen frame, wherein a screen surface of the second screen insert is positioned at a second height. The second height may be different from the first height. A method of processing fluid includes providing a flow of fluid to a vibratory separator, and flowing the fluid over a screen having a first screen insert positioned at a first height.
