The positioning and stabilizing structure includes headgear with at least one strap configured to contact the user's head, in use. The head mounted display unit and at least a portion of the positioning and stabilizing structure are formed from a one piece construction of textile material.
POWDER REMOVAL ENCLOSURE FOR ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED COMPONENTS
Various embodiments of the invention include an apparatus for removing particulates from the surface of a 3D printed workpiece. Various particular embodiments include a material removal apparatus having: an enclosure having a first inlet and a first outlet; a rotatable platform contained within the enclosure for positioning a 3D printed workpiece having particulate on a surface thereof; a pressurized fluid applicator connected to the first inlet and configured to selectively apply a pressurized fluid to the 3D printed workpiece; a vibration source configured to apply an adjustable vibratory frequency to at least one of the rotatable platform or the 3D printed workpiece; and a material reclamation unit connected to the first outlet configured to collect a material removed from the 3D printed workpiece.
Portable wash basin assembly
A portable wash basin assembly for cleaning a tool includes a wash basin having a base and at least one sidewall that extends upward from the base to an upper edge. The wash basin is configured to receive a liquid for cleaning the tool. A plurality of legs are coupled to the wash basin and are adjustable between a use position and a non-use position. A drain is located in the basin and configured to direct the liquid within the basin to a location below the basin. The wash basin is supported upon a frame. The portable wash basin assembly has a first height when the plurality of legs are in the use position and a second height, less than the first height, when the plurality of legs are in the non-use position. The legs are pivotably coupled to the frame between the use position and the non-use position.
POWDER REMOVAL ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF REMOVING UNBOUND PARTICLES USING POWDER REMOVAL ASSEMBLIES
A powder removal assembly for removing powder from a part produced by additive manufacturing, including a process chamber including an outlet, a powder removal device coupled to the process chamber and configured to remove particles from the process chamber, a particle sensor coupled to the outlet, the particle sensor being configured to monitor an amount of particles passing through the outlet as a function of time, and a control system communicatively coupled to the particle sensor and the powder removal device. The control system is configured to automatically activate and deactivate the powder removal device in response to a change in a rate of the amount of particles passing through the outlet as a function of time, passing a threshold value.
MULTI-STAGE WASH SYSTEM FOR VAT POLYMERIZATION-BASED 3D PRINTED PARTS
The invention is a system for drying, recycling, and washing off residual resin from 3D-printed objects. Some aspects of the invention include a system for recycling solvents used to clean the 3D-printed objects in a washing chamber. The recycling system may include one or more solvent reservoirs that store a solvent for cleaning residual 3D-printing material off of 3D-printed objects, a wash chamber adapted to clean the 3D-printed objects, and a solvent recycling module. The solvent recycling module receives a saturated solvent from the one or more solvent reservoirs, evaporates or condenses the saturated solvent to remove residual 3D-printing material from the saturated solvent, and returns clean solvent to the one or more solvent reservoirs of the system.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SUPPORT REMOVAL
An apparatus and method for removing support material from a part formed by three-dimensional (3D) printing. The support removal machine contains a tank for submersion of a 3D printed part into a liquid mass. The liquid mass circulates in the tank in a controlled manner such that submerged parts remain centrally suspended in the tank, regardless of the material, density and geometry comprising the part. The part circulates and rotates in conjunction with the rotational flow of the liquid mass for uniform exposure to means of support removal. During rotation, the part may be subjected to multiple means of agitation that include heat, chemical and ultrasonic, in order to optimize energy use and maximize efficiency of the removal of support material.
Method for cleaning mechanical parts using a portable parts washer
A portable parts washer for cleaning mechanical parts that includes a washer body having an upper portion, a lower portion, and a wash basin formed within the upper portion having inner sidewalls, a floor panel and at least one drain aperture. The portable parts washer also includes an in-use reservoir formed within the lower portion of the washer body and having a bottom panel spaced from the floor panel and outer sidewalls, and which is configured to receive cleaning fluid from the wash basin through the drain aperture when the floor panel is in a substantially horizontal orientation. The portable parts washer further includes a storage reservoir formed within the upper and lower portions and which is configured to contain the cleaning fluid from the in-use reservoir when the floor panel is rotated to a substantially vertical orientation.
WASHING SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE
A washing container for washing or maintaining various objects includes opposite side portions, end portions, and a bottom portion. Embodiments include at least one lower support having an engagement gap extending between lower support arms and configured to releasably secure the objects. Some embodiments include opposing lower supports that secure opposite ends of the objects. An upper support arm may be used independently or together with one or more lower supports to secure one or more objects, in various positions, within the washing container. A perforated support platform support the objects above the bottom portion of the washing container and allows fluids and debris to pass to the bottom portion and into a drain trough. A debris basket within the trough limits the passage of debris into a drain.
SAFETY CLOSURE FOR A CONTAINER WITH A MEDIA SUPPLY LINE
A safety closure for or on a container with a media supply line is described. The safety closure comprises: a lid which is actuated in particular mechanically for closing the container; a shut-off device for shutting off the media supply line; a pivoting lever with an actuating arm for pressing on the lid and with an in particular opposite first locking element; and a second locking element which is drive-coupled to the shut-off device and, which as a stop for the first locking element, being selectively operative when the shut-off device is open, is configured such that the lid can not be opened. Accidentally opening the lid when the container is spray rinsed can thereby be prevented in a simple and reliable manner.
