DRAIN CLEANING DEVICE
A drain cleaning device includes a power unit and a drum assembly coupled to the power unit for rotation by the power unit. The drum assembly includes a base, a cable received in the base that is configured to be fed from the base and rotated to clean a drain, and a cover releasably coupleable to the base. The drum assembly includes a plurality of taper locks releasably coupling an outer peripheral portion of the cover and an outer peripheral portion of the base. Each of the taper locks is moveable between a locked position in which the cover is retained on the base and an unlocked position in which the cover is removable from the base. Each of the taper locks being biased toward the locked position.
System and method for a connector assembly in an aircraft
A method of retrofitting an environmental control system of an aircraft includes inserting the orifice plate through the connector slot and the connector ring slot into the receptacle. The method also includes aligning the covering portion with the connector slot.
Smelt spout cleaning assembly
An assembly for cleaning a smelt spout includes a cleaning head, a drive rod connected with the cleaning head, and a pneumatic or other drive connected to selectively extend or retract the drive rod. The drive rod may be connected with the cleaning head by a pivotal connection. The cleaning head may be bifurcated. The cleaning head may include a leading edge configured to engage and clean a spout opening from which smelt from a chemical reduction furnace flows to the spout. The assembly may further include a pivot point and, as the drive selectively extends the drive rod, torque about the pivot point produced by the cleaning head and an extending portion of the drive rod rotates the cleaning head downward to engage a smelt spout.
Pipe Oxidation Removal Tool
A pipe cleaning tool for cleaning pipe surfaces is configured for operative engagement with a drill motor. The cleaning tool includes a body having a sidewall extending between a first end and a second end of the body. Cleaning blades located in each of a plurality of slots which extend to respective openings in the sidewall of the body. The cleaning blades are biased to project past the sidewall and thereby contact a pipe surface positioned adjacent the sidewall to clean the pipe surface of oxidation and dirt when the body of the cleaning tool is rotated by the engaged drill motor.
Bore Cleaning Apparatus And Methods For Firearms
A compact apparatus and method for cleaning the bore of a firearm. The bore cleaning apparatus provides for adjustability to accommodate a range of bore diameters and bore cleaning patches. The bore cleaning apparatus also provides for extraction of the apparatus from the bore of a firearm in the event of inadvertent lodging of a cleaning patch in the breech of the firearm. An adjustable loop is provided at a distal end of a length of twine to securely cinch about a cleaning patch. A proximal end of the length of twine is used to draw the cleaning patch through the bore. A shorter second length of twine is secured with the loop to enable extraction of the bore cleaning apparatus in the event the cleaning patch gets lodged within the breech.
RETRACTABLE MECHANICAL DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CLEANING TUBULAR STRUCTURES AND INSTALLING SENSOR/TRANSDUCER ELEMENTS ON THE INSIDE WALL THEREOF
The present invention provides a device and method for installing sensor/transductor elements on the inside wall of tubular structures, comprising a step of cleaning the inside of a duct and a step of installing the sensor/transductor. The mechanical device that is the subject matter of the present invention comprises four articulated arms (2), each one being coupled at the ends thereof to through-slits (23) in prismatic components (21) and the latter coupled to control elements (1) and (31) which by means of the threaded axial through-holes (24) thereof are screwed to the power screw axes (30) and (32) and by actuating same by rotating the extension tube (5) cause radial movement of the articulated arms (2), said retractable mechanical device also comprising centralizing elements (34) composed of at least 4 spring shafts (35).
Method and device for cleaning sewer pipeline
The group of inventions can be used for removal of deposits in sewers and the simultaneous removal thereof in various pipelines, providing mechanization of the cleaning process in a sewage pipeline and eliminating the need for disassembling the drain system and manually cleaning it. A movable element and a cleaning tool mounted thereon, both arranged within the sewage pipeline, are moved along the sewage pipeline by means of a drive mounted outside the sewage pipeline and connected to the movable element. In the initial position, the cleaning tool is located at the end of the sewage pipeline, outside the sewage pipeline portion connecting the drain pipe with a riser. When the cleaning tool reaches the end position at the junction of the sewage pipeline and the riser, the drive and the movable element move the cleaning tool to its initial position.
SAXOPHONE CLEANING DEVICE
The present invention relates to a saxophone cleaning device, and the objective of the present invention is to enable the inside of a musical instrument having conical and curved shapes to be easily and more effectively cleaned, thereby assisting in managing the cleanliness of a saxophone. The present invention, for implementing this, relates to a saxophone cleaning device comprising: a cleaning unit 10 for cleaning the inside of the saxophone 100; and a pulling unit 20 for pulling the cleaning unit 10, wherein the cleaning unit 10 has cleaning cloths 12, 13 and 14 made from an absorbent material provided on a first string 11 having a predetermined length, and has a magnet 15 connected to one end portion thereof, and the pulling unit 20 has a metal piece 24 connected to one end portion of a second string 21 having a predetermined length, so as to be attached by means of the magnetic force of the magnet 15, and has, on the other end portion thereof, a winding means 22 around which the second string 21 is wound.
Spring assemblies with variable flexibility for use with push-cables and pipe inspection systems
Push-cables and associated apparatus for pipe inspection systems are disclosed. In one embodiment a pipe inspection system includes a camera head, a push-cable including an outer covering enclosing a plurality of electrical conductors for transmitting signals and/or power between the camera head and an electronic device operatively coupled to the push-cable, and a spring assembly disposed about the push-cable near the distal end where the spring assembly comprises a spring with a tapered flex section having a varying cross-sectional area and/or a varying cross-sectional shape.
Tapered plug burner cleaning ports
A burner for a metal-melting furnace can releasably receive a tapered plug in sealing engagement with an access passage aligned with an air passage. The burner may be configured to extend through a wall of the metal-melting furnace so that the air passage is through a front face within the furnace and so that the access passage is through a rear face outside of the furnace. The access passage may be aligned with the air passage to permit a rigid structure to be passed through the burner from outside the furnace to dislodge build-up of solidified metal from the air passage. The tapered plug may be moveable between a sealing configuration of being received in a seat to seal the access passage during burner operation and a cleaning configuration of being removed from the seat to expose the access passage for insertion of the rigid structure.
