TURRET ROLL FORMERS, FORMING ROLLER CASSETTES AND RELATED ARTICLES AND METHODS
A turret roll forming machine includes at least one turret assembly carrying multiple rows of tooling (e.g., forming rollers), rotatable about an axis to selectively align rows of tooling with an input or output. A transmission is accessible from an exterior of the turret assembly without disassembling of the turret assembly to perform a changeover of roll tooling and/or maintenance on gears, bearings, or shafts of the transmission. Thus, a chain drive may be employed, advantageously accommodating differing rotational speeds for top and bottom forming rollers of each pair of forming rollers, e.g. to reduce roll scuffing. Pairs of forming rollers may be provided as cassettes, which are removably coupleable to the turret assembly allowing quick and easy reconfiguration and/or servicing, minimizing negative effects of changeover. The turret assembly may be a unitary structure (e.g., a weldment) improving rigidity and increasing accuracy of roll forming operations.

Rolling mill stand
The object of this invention is a rolling mill stand with one pair of work rolls for a rolling metal strip, with intermediate rolls and back-up rolls. Here, the work rolls are supported at the sides by supporting systems, where a supporting force directed towards the work roll can be applied to each supporting system by means of a force generating device and the supporting system can be moved from an idle position into an operating position. According to the invention, the two work rolls can be replaced by work rolls with a different diameter, where only the supporting systems have to be replaced by supporting systems with supporting rolls of a different diameter, but the intermediate rolls and back-up rolls need not be changed.

MULTISTAGE ROLLING MILL
A multistage rolling mill 100 includes support bearings 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d, 10e, 10f, 10g, and 10h arranged on the entry side and/or the exit side of work rolls 2a and 2b, and supporting the work rolls 2a and 2b on an work side and a drive side. The offset positions in a pass direction of the pair of work rolls 2a and 2b for rolling a strip 1 are changed by moving in and out the support bearings 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d, 10e, 10f, 10g, and 10h to the entry side or the exit side with respect to the pass direction. A multistage rolling mill capable of rolling a hard material efficiently and suitable for obtaining a strip of high product quality is thereby provided.

ROLL-FORMING MACHINE
A roll-forming machine having: an entrance end section in which a sheet of material with various sides and widths generally enters, wherein the sheet of material is configured to form a finished sheet component having a predetermined width with ends that meet or overlap; an exit end section where the finished sheet component exits; a lifting bar assembly for lifting an end segment of the material to cause a longitudinal bend in the material; a side roller bar assembly that is configured to form an upper end of said sheet component; a creasing bearing assembly that assists in a creasing of the sheet of material; and wherein said lifting bar implement is configured to at least one of, move the creasing bearing assembly and the side roller bar assembly, to a predetermined position to form a finished sheet component having a predetermined width.
