Determination of an adjustment of a roll stand

Slabs pass through a furnace in a conveying direction, are heated to rolling temperature, and are rolled in at least one roller stand. Determining device receives information showing the regions occupied by the slabs relative to one another when passing through the furnace in at least one direction orthogonal to the conveying direction, and determines, for at least one rolling pass of the respective slab, an adjustment of the roller stand performing this rolling pass without prior determination of a respective temperature distribution of a respective slab or without utilization of a determined temperature of a respective slab. The determining device takes into account the region occupied by the respective preceding and/or following slab, seen in the conveying direction, relative to the respective slab, and supplies the respective determined adjustment of the roller stand to a control device, which controls the roller stand when the respective slab is being rolled.

Each station includes a load-bearing structure, a removable roll-holder cartridge with three rolling rolls movable radially and rotating around three equally spaced axes of rotation, and a roll having a vertical rotational axis. Three actuators mount on the load-bearing structure; three gear motor groups connect to the rolls by single extensions. The position of the second station rolls is rotated 60° from the first stations. The rolls with a vertical axis of the first and second stations are arranged on opposite sides of the rolling axis. All rolling stations allow lateral extraction of roll-holder cartridges from the same side of the rolling mill. The stations on the cartridge extraction side have actuators movable relative to the load-bearing structure. The stations with vertical rolls arranged on the opposite side have fixed actuators.

MEANDERING CONTROL METHOD FOR HOT-ROLLED STEEL STRIP, MEANDERING CONTROL DEVICE, AND HOT ROLLING EQUIPMENT

A meandering control device and hot rolling equipment suppress a meandering amount of a hot-rolled steel strip. A roll opening degree difference between an operation side and a driving side in an i-th rolling machine computed in a leveling control computation step (step S3) in the meandering control method, satisfies the roll opening degree difference between the operation side and the driving side in the i-th rolling machine (Fi) by Expressions (1), (2), and (3) in a control section j, in a case where the control section j is set when a tail end portion (Sa) of a traveling hot-rolled steel strip (10) is present between a j-th (j≤i−1) rolling machine (Fj) and a (j+1)th rolling machine (Fj+1) counting from a rolling machine (F1) installed on a most upstream side.

ROLLING WITH ALLOWANCE FOR FREQUENCY RESPONSE

A metal strip is fed to a rolling stand by a feeding device and removed by a removing device. A control device cyclically determines, based on final thickness deviations of portions of the metal strip from a setpoint thickness of the metal strip on the exit side, setpoint values and outputs the determined setpoint values to final control elements. The final control elements include the feeding device, an adjusting device for the rolling gap of the rolling stand, a drive for driving rolls of the rolling stand, and/or the removing device. For the feeding device, the drive, and the removing device, the setpoint value is a setpoint speed or torque. For the adjusting device, the setpoint value is a setpoint rolling-gap value. The control device determines a setpoint value based on a number of final thickness deviations allowing for the inverse frequency response of the respective final control element.

Adjustment device

An adjustment device for adjusting a roll in a roll support (13) of a roll stand includes a cylinder housing (2) that can be secured to a roll support (13), and a piston (1) guided to move translationally in and across the roll support. The position of the piston (1) can be determined via a travel measurement device (9) connected to a coupling rod (6) secured directly to the piston (1). The piston (1) has a guide element (3) extending from the piston head (4) into a bore in the roll rack and in the direction toward the travel measurement device (9). The coupling rod (6) is secured to the guide element (3). To reduce the sensitivity of the adjustment device to a tipping, the guide element (3) is guided in a guide opening (14) of the cylinder housing (2). A sliding guide (7) is provided for the coupling rod (6), which can be arranged on an end of a borehole (15) in the roll rack facing the travel measurement device (9).

DETERMINATION METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF THE ROLLING OR GUIDING GAPS OF THE ROLL STANDS OR GUIDE STANDS IN A MULTI-STAND ROLLING MILL

In order to be able to determine the rolling or guiding gaps of the roll stands or guide stands in a multi-stand rolling mill, at a predetermined measurement precision, with the least possible effort, a master calibration and intermediate calibrations are carried out, wherein various calibration measures are refrained from, in a targeted manner. The targeted lack of recourse in the case of specific calibrations is also independently advantageous.
