Container and Method for Producing a Container
The present disclosure relates to a mesh container and a method of making a mesh container that has a first and a second set of opposing side panels, a bottom panel, and a rim directed outwards from the upper edges of the side panels. At least two adjacent sides panels of the container and portion of the rim directed outwardly from the upper edge of the side panels are made from a sheet metal precursor with least one perforated and a stretched portion and unstretched metal portion. The precursor is folded so that the unstretched metal portion joins the two side panels and is bent to form the rim. A notch is cut from the edge of the unstretched metal portion where it is bent at the corner formed by the two side panels.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR BENDING CONTOURED METAL SHEETING ABOUT A FOLD LINE
A method of bending a contoured metal sheet, the contoured metal sheet having a longitudinal axis extending along the length of the contoured metal sheet comprising: securing a first sheet section of the contoured metal sheet in a securing section between a securing surface of a securing member and an engagement surface of an engagement member; positioning at least part of a second sheet section of the contoured metal sheet in a forming section between a forming member having a pressing surface and a seating member having a seating surface; moving the forming section and the securing section relative to one another to: bend the first sheet section the selected angle relative to the second sheet section over a first bending edge; and feed the second sheet section from between the pressing surface and the seating surface, over a second bending edge, to between a forming surface and a backing surface; and positioning a following section substantially adjacent to the second bending edge to cooperate with the forming surface to engage and compress a portion of the second sheet section of the contoured metal sheet therebetween when the relative movement between the securing section and the forming section moves the backing surface to a position remote from the forming surface of the forming member.

The invention concerns a forming device intended to form a bend in a corrugation, the forming device comprising: a bottom frame (4) having a planar mounting surface (6) intended to receive a sheet metal plate having a corrugation projecting relative to a planar portion of the sheet metal plate, a projecting counter-form (5) arranged on the mounting surface and intended to be accommodated in the corrugation, the projecting counter-form having a stationary portion (7) and a movable portion (8) that is hinged, relative to the stationary portion, about an axis perpendicular to the mounting surface, a top frame (34) arranged above the bottom frame, a press configured to lower the top frame towards the bottom frame, and a hollow upper die carried by the top frame between the top frame (34) and the bottom frame (4), the hollow upper die (36, 37) being arranged above the movable portion of the projecting counter-form.

Provided is a molding method for a plate-shaped workpiece including forming a concave portion (11) at one surface (1a) of a plate-shaped workpiece (1), and bending the plate-shaped workpiece (1) having the concave portion (11) such that the one surface (1a) becomes a concave surface and a rear surface (1b) thereof becomes a convex surface.
