A header plate includes slots to receive heat exchange tubes of a heat exchanger. Each slot includes a lip extending in a direction of the tubes. Each slot has straight sides and corners. At least two tabs extend from each lip. One tab is on one side of each lip, and another tab is on an opposite side of each lip. Tabs are absent from the corners of the lip. Each tab is turned out from the lip so that the tabs on the lip act as a lead in for a tube entering the slot. Each slot has two long sides opposite one another. At least one tab is on each long side of the lip.

A plurality of swedge guns are mounted to a gun platform. The gun platform is carried at a second section of the support frame so that distal ends of the swedge guns are aligned with a receiving section of the jig. At least one of the jig and the gun platform is slidable along the support frame so that the swedge guns are received into hollow interiors of the picket fencing members and repositionable along the length of the picket fencing members. The swedge guns are operable to form an indentation on an interior surface of the picket fencing members causing an interlocking engagement with one of the rail fencing members.

Metal foil catalyst for the control of emissions from diesel engines

A diesel engine emissions catalyst which may be used to fill a niche between standard oxidation catalyst and diesel particulate filters for control of diesel particulate matter. The catalyst includes a structure (substrate) comprising one or more coated, corrugated micro-expanded metal foil layers. The coated surface may be a high surface area, stabilized, and promoted washcoat layer. The corrugated pattern may include a herringbone-style pattern that, when in use, is oriented in a longitudinal direction of the diesel engine exhaust flow. The micro-expanded metal foil provides small openings or eyes that, as the exhaust flow passes through the catalyst (transverse to the eye opening), particulates in the flow impinge on the surface and becomes trapped in the eyes. The catalyst may be used to treat a locomotive engine exhaust stream and may be used with a selective catalyst reduction system.
