Method for joining members
A method joins members for joining a first member being cylindrical and a second member being plate-shaped and having an opening. This method includes: inserting a first member into an opening of the second member; inserting an elastic body into the first member; guiding an outer diameter side of the first member with a pair of outer dies on both sides of the second member; and compressing an elastic body in the first member with a pair of inner dies. The inner dies compress the elastic body within a range in which the outer dies are positioned.
DEVICE FOR WORKING PIPES
A device for working pipes, in particular to carry out a belling working or operation on one end of a pipe, including a belling element configured to produce with a thrust a bell end with a substantially circular shape by means of axial advance into said end of said pipe.

Method for expanding an end of a pipe and expander tool
A method for expanding an end of a pipe made of plastics having shape memory with the aid of an expander tool having a tool head having an expansion member arranged to be insertable inside the end of the pipe. The method includes steps of measuring the temperature of the pipe to be expanded, adjusting at least one of the expansion control parameters of the tool head on the basis the measured temperature of the pipe, and expanding the end of the pipe utilizing the adjusted expansion control parameter of the tool head. The expander tool includes a temperature sensor for measuring temperature of the pipe to be expanded and/or ambient temperature, and an electronic control unit for adjusting at least one of the expansion control parameters of the tool head on the basis the measured temperature value.

Method of manufacturing variable wall thickness steel pipe and variable wall thickness steel pipe
There is provided a method of manufacturing a variable wall thickness steel pipe with a hollow tubular raw pipe. The method of manufacturing a variable wall thickness steel pipe includes locking the raw pipe in a die by thrusting a plug into the raw pipe from an one end side, so as to expand an outer shape on the one end side in a state, where the raw pipe is disposed inside the die and movement of the raw pipe in a longitudinal direction is restricted; and performing ironing in which an inner shape of the raw pipe is expanded while the outer shape is maintained so that a thin portion is formed by further thrusting the plug toward the other end side of the raw pipe while the locked state of the raw pipe is maintained, whereas the restriction on the raw pipe is relaxed.

STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A structure includes: a first member made of metal having a tubular shape, and having a through-insertion hole; a second member made of resin and joined to the first member; and a third member made of metal having a tubular shape, and inserted through inside the first member. The third member is tube-expanded toward the first member and joined to the first member by press-fitting.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING STRUCTURE
A joining method of a structure includes preparing a first member including a first portion provided with a first hole and a second portion provided with a second hole, a second member, a die, and an elastic member, inserting the second member into the first hole, inserting the elastic member into the second member, in a state where one end of the second member in an axial direction is located between the first portion and the second portion, compressing and expanding the elastic member in the axial direction, thereby expanding and deforming the second member at a portion passing through the first hole to be swaged and joined to the first portion. The die includes a support surface for applying a compressive force from the die to the elastic member through the second hole. The support surface is perpendicular to an axial direction of the elastic member.
