Method and Apparatus for Reforming an Inside Dome Wall Portion of a Container
A reform apparatus for reforming a bottom portion of a metallic beverage container is provided. The reform apparatus generally includes a pair of reform rollers interconnected to pivot arms. Spring are operably interconnected to the reform rollers such that the reform rollers a biased radially inwardly in an unactuated state. The springs at least one of spring bushings and compression springs. The reform rollers rotate radially outwardly when a wedge member pushes axially between the two pivot arms. The wedge member engages and imparts rotation to the pivot arms. An annular edge of each of the reform rollers contacts an inner wall portion of the bottom portion of the beverage container to form a groove of a predetermined size and shape.

CAN FILLING/SEAMING DEVICE AND CAN FILLING/SEAMING METHOD
A can filling/seaming device that fills a can with a liquid content and seals the can with a lid by double-seaming allows a filler and a seamer to be integrated in a compact arrangement. A can filling/seaming device includes a filler that fills a can with a liquid content while conveying the can by rotation of a filling turret, a seamer that attaches a lid to the can filled with the content by double-seaming, and a forwarding turret provided between a carrying-out position of the filling turret and a carrying-in position to the seamer to circularly convey the can filled with the content, wherein a lid supply part is provided on the forwarding turret.
Can Seaming Apparatus
A can seaming apparatus including a frame, a can handling assembly, a can driving assembly and a seaming assembly. The can seaming apparatus is configured to seal a lid to a can through a double seam can seal. The can is positioned and clamped between an upper and a lower chuck. The can driving assembly spins the can and the upper and lower chucks about an axis. The seaming assembly includes two rollers which can selectively be directed to engage the can to form the necessary crimping operations.
Spring-loaded knockout pad
Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to seaming assembly for seaming a can lid onto a can body. In one example embodiment, a seaming assembly includes a chuck; and a knockout pad that is movable relative to said chuck in an axial direction of said chuck. The knockout pad includes a fastening element, and a holding element in a spring-loaded manner relative to the fastening element such that contact with the can lid is effected and established in a spring-loaded region.
