METALLIC END CLOSURE FOR SMALL DIAMETER CONTAINER
The present disclosure generally relates to containers and container end closures, and more specifically metallic end closures for small diameter metallic beverage containers. The present disclosure also relates to the tooling used to form the novel end closure, where the tooling is itself novel. The change of the angles on the die core ring improve the mobility of the metal while forming the end closure. Specifically, when manufacturing the new end closure with the new tooling, the press output is increased by over five times.
CAN END WITH A COINED RIVET, TOOLING ASSEMBLY THEREFOR AND A METHOD OF FORMING
A can end including a central panel and a coined rivet disposed on the central panel. A press, a station, and/or a tooling assembly structured to form a coined rivet as well as a method to form the coined rivet is also provided.
End closure with double anti-missile score
An end closure for food and beverage containers provides controlled opening characteristics to prevent the unintentional missiling of a tear panel. The end closure comprises a score line that defines a portion of the tear panel, and the end closure may comprise one or more anti-missile features that inhibit the propagation of a fracture down a score line, which reduces the likelihood that a tear panel will inadvertently detach from the end closure and injure the user or another.
Resealable beverage can lid
A resealable beverage can lid has a lid having a top side having a score line forming a panel, a first rivet formed in the lid and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, a second rivet formed in the panel and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, and a tab portion having an extension portion with the tab portion connected to the first rivet and the extension portion connected to the second rivet.
PEELABLE RESEALABLE MEMBRANE FOR CONTAINERS
The invention comprises a peelable membrane for resealably closing a metal end comprising an outer layer, a tacky layer, and a heat seal layer. The heat seal layer is permanently sealed to the metal end to cover at least one opening in the metal end. The tacky layer causes the peelable membrane to be resealable onto the metal end.
RESEALABLE BEVERAGE CAN LID
A resealable beverage can lid has a lid having a top side having a score line forming a panel, a first rivet formed in the lid and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, a second rivet formed in the panel and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, and a tab portion comprising a main body portion having a rear lifting portion having an indented portion, a first forward rupturing portion, a second forward rupturing portion, an opening formed in the body portion for forming a tongue having a first aperture, a second aperture, and the tab portion connected to the first rivet through the first aperture and the second rivet through the second aperture.
CAN LID OPENING TAB, CAN LID, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CAN LID OPENING TAB
A can lid opening tab includes: a pulling-up part provided on one end side in a longitudinal direction; a pressing-down part provided on another end side in the longitudinal direction; a fixing part provided between the pulling-up part and the pressing-down part, and sectioned and formed by a U-shaped slot, and fixed on a can lid body; and the curling part formed continuously on the circumference except for a connecting piece cutting trace provided at the pressing-down part. A step-less unprocessed deflection face with the periphery surrounded without disconnection by the curling part is provided between the fixing part and the pulling-up part, and a display part is provided on at least one face side of the deflection face.
SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING RING PULL BOTTLE CROWNS
Equipment and related methods for manufacturing ring pull crowns are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method of manufacturing a ring pull crown may include forming a plurality of crown bodies from a first source material, and forming a plurality of pull ring and tab assemblies from a second source material. In addition, such a method may include forming a plurality of ring pull crowns by combining each crown body of the plurality of crown bodies with a corresponding pull ring and tab assembly from the plurality of pull ring and tab assemblies. Also, such method may also include forming a circumferential skirt that descends below a top of each ring pull crown, and removing the plurality of ring pull crowns from the first source material.
BEVERAGE CAN HAVING A GROMMET
A drawn and wall ironed beverage can body, method for forming same, and a sealed and filled can, include a through-hole or aperture in the base. A grommet for charging a propellant in can is located in the aperture. The aperture has a burr that is located on the inboard side of the rim of the aperture.
