SPRING MANUFACTURING MACHINE WITH SELECTABLE CONFIGURATION FOR PROCESSING TOOLS
The present invention provides a spring manufacturing machine including a wire guide member configured to guide a wire along a conveying direction to a first base point or a second base point for forming a spring, and a pair of movable assemblies configured to allow the second base point to be located between the first base point and the pair of movable assemblies. Each of the movable assemblies comprises a mounting platform configured to move close to or away from the first base point or the second base point along the conveying direction. Each mounting platform has a recess, and two mounting platforms are adjacent to each other to allow their respective recesses to surround the second base point, so that the movement of the mounting platforms do not to interfere with operation at the second base point.

A coiling machine includes a material guide, first pin, second pin, pitch tool, cutting tool, heating device, temperature sensor, and controller. A material is bent between the first pin and the second pin to form an arc part between the first pin and the second pin. Apparatus for forming wire components, which are in this example springs, comprises a supply station (202), for supplying spring forming material, such as metallic wire W. The supply station includes a pair of guide rollers (204) and pair of driven feed rollers (206), mounted on a heavy support plate (216). The wire is fed through a flexible sheath FS to a remotely located wire shaping device, in particular a spring forming device 208, comprising forming tools (210), a pitch control tool (212) and a cutter (214). The forming tools (210) and the pitch control tool (212) form the wire into a spring S, which is cut from the supply of wire when it is complete. The tools (210, 212) and cutter (214) are controlled remotely from a control station (220) via a bundle of flexible control cables (222), which may include a power cable. The spring forming device 208 is mounted on a positioning member (224), such as a robot arm or moveable table, configured for three-dimensional movement, and/or optionally adjustments in inclination. Without the heavy plate (216) and rollers (205, 206), the spring forming device (208) is sufficiently light in weight and compact as to be moved by the positioning member (224) to a location in which springs are to be used, thereby avoiding the need for transportation apparatus to convey the springs from the place where they are formed to the place where they are to be used.
Coiling machine, method for manufacturing coil spring, and coil spring
A coiling machine includes feed rollers for moving a wire, a wire guide, a first forming roller, a second forming roller, a pitch tool, a cutting mechanism, and a support mechanism for supporting the wire. The cutting mechanism includes a cutting rotor. The wire coming out of the wire guide is formed into a helical shape by the first forming roller, the second forming roller and the pitch tool. After one coil spring of a predetermined length is formed, the wire is cut by moving the cutting rotor in the radial direction of the wire. The cutting rotor cuts the wire supported by the support mechanism in the radial direction of the wire between the second forming roller and the pitch tool.
WIRE SHAPING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF SHAPING A WIRE
Apparatus for forming wire components, which are in this example springs, comprises a supply station (202), for supplying spring forming material, such as metallic wire W. The supply station includes a pair of guide rollers (204) and pair of driven feed rollers (206), mounted on a heavy support plate (216). Spring forming device and forming method therefor
A spring forming device in which the steel wire can be continuously cut off without stopping the feeding of the steel wire in cutting, and in which the steel wire can be uniformly heated, is provided. The spring forming device has a wire supplying mechanism for supplying a steel wire using a plurality of feeding rollers, a heating mechanism for heating the steel wire, a coiling mechanism for forming in a coil state the heated steel wire, and a cutting mechanism for cutting the steel wire coiled at a given number of turns off the steel wire remained backward. A cutting blade of the cutting mechanism follows tracks having a speed Va that moves to the receiving blade and a speed Vc that moves in an axial direction of the coiled steel wire, in cutting of the steel wire.

The coil spring manufacturing device can switch a process among a first continuous material coiling process of manufacturing a coil spring by using the first continuous material, a second continuous material coiling process of manufacturing a coil spring by using the second continuous material, and a short material coiling process of manufacturing a coil spring by using the short material.
