An apparatus for equipping a basket welding machine, the apparatus having an insertion device. The apparatus is characterized in that the insertion device has a plurality of receiving positions for all the longitudinal wires of a basket to be produced using the basket welding machine, the insertion device having a receiving element for receiving the longitudinal wires of a basket, the receiving positions being spaced apart in the radial direction from an axis of rotation of the insertion device, wherein the insertion device is designed to feed at least two longitudinal wires arranged on the insertion device to the basket welding machine simultaneously in one insertion operation, the insertion operation of the longitudinal wires into the basket welding machine being effected by a movement of the insertion device in the axial direction of the axis of rotation of the insertion device. The invention further relates to a basket welding machine.
Method and Apparatus for Attaching Rib Wires of a Wire Wrap Screen
A method and apparatus for providing rib wires of a wire wrap screen on a pipe comprises one or more straps adapted to receive a plurality of rib wires and to engage the pipe, at least one of the straps being adapted to align at least a portion of the rib wires generally parallel with the longitudinal axis of the pipe and generally equidistantly spaced apart over the circumference of the pipe. The pipe with rib wires, once secured with the straps, can then be introduced into a wire wrap machine to form the wire wrap screen over the rib wires.

The invention is an automated machine for reinforcement of piles, pillars, beams, and reinforcing cages in location of construction projects. This machine consists of main elements like loading arms and feeding jaws of longitudinal bars, rotating winch for stirrup and its guides, fixed and moving jaws and welding robot. It can be installed on a specified flat trailer in resting mode and come to an operative mode in project location and will be ready to use. To make reinforcing cages, an automated method for continuous winding of stirrup around longitudinal bars has been applied, and two intelligent welding systems (resistive spot and CO.sub.2 welding methods) have been utilized for joints in this machine.
