Guitar string stretching assembly
11666963 · 2023-06-06 ·

A instrument string stretching assembly for stretching instrument strings during the manufacturing process includes a curved panel that has a plurality of channels each extending through the curved panel. A plurality of instrument strings can be inserted into a respective one of the channels having each of the instrument strings extending outwardly through the respective channel. A stretching unit is aligned with each of the plurality of channels in the curved panel and the stretching unit is actuatable into a lifting condition or a lowering condition. A clamping unit is attached to the stretching unit to grip each of the plurality of instrument strings. The stretching unit lifts the clamping unit upwardly thereby stretching the instrument strings along the plurality of channels in the curved panel.

Vertical cable railing assembly

A railing system is provided that illustratively includes a first rail and a second rail where the first rail is spaced-apart from the second rail. At least one cable that extends between the spaced-apart first and second rails. The at least one cable includes a stop sleeve disposed about the cable and positioned adjacent an end of the at least one cable. A cable tensioner having a body, a bore disposed through the body, and a stop surface is located adjacent an opening in the cable tensioner. An adapter that includes a body and a bore that extends into the body. The body of the adapter forms a surface located in contact with an underside surface of the top panel of the second rail between the first and second sidewalls of the second rail.

A method for fabricating electrodes sized and dimensioned to record, measure, and/or stimulate very fine nerve structures (e.g., microscale or less) is described herein. The method can include securing a tip of an electrode, comprising a conductor substantially encased by an insulator, to a proximal portion of an inserter. The electrode can be wound around a proximal portion of the inserter and a portion of the electrode can be secured to a distal portion of the inserter. A tension in the electrode can be maintained during the winding to keep the electrode in place during the winding.

A tensioning apparatus for pulling together respective ends of a previously severed high-tension cable and, thus, repairing and restoring tension upon a unified cable includes a base member defining a pair of guide channels spaced apart along a common longitudinal axis. The tensioning apparatus includes a pair of tensioning arms positioned in the pair of guide channels, respectively, that is slidably movable between a relaxed configuration displaced from one another and a tensioned configuration proximate one another. Each tensioning arm includes a gripper member configured to clamp onto the respective ends of the severed cable. Hydraulic or pneumatic power is operatively coupled to the pair of tensioning arms for selectively actuating movement of the pair of tensioning arms along the guide channels between the relaxed and tensioned configurations. In other words, the ends of the severed cable are pulled tightly toward one another and joined together under tension.
