Tie rod for concrete forming system and related method of making

A method of forming one or more tie rods that includes flattening a main body of a wire in a first selected plane to form a flattened main body, further flattening selected portions of the flattened main body in a second plane perpendicular to the first plane to form one or more break back regions, and then passing the wire through a punch press machine to form one or more coined regions in one or more ends of the wire, thus forming the tie rod.

Pull or push rod or locking nut for a molding machine

A pull or push rod for a molding machine having a groove. The groove is suitable for forming a positive-locking connection with a locking nut, by which positive-locking connection forces are transmittable between the locking nut and the pull or push rod. The groove has a groove cross-section, has at least two groove flanks, and has a groove base. The at least two groove flanks, viewed in the groove cross-section, each transition with at least one transition curvature into the groove base. The groove base in the groove cross-section is at least partially formed as a curvature, and the curvature of the groove base differs from the transition curvatures of the groove flanks.

The present invention discloses a extrusion forming method and a forming apparatus for manufacturing a self-clinching rivet, wherein the forming method comprises: upset-extruding a first end of a wire blank to shape it into a material pushing portion and a shank portion billet, upset-extruding the shank portion billet to shape it into a shank portion and a groove portion, and upset-extruding a second end of the wire blank to create a slot portion and a slot shaft portion. The invention for manufacturing the self-clinching rivet by one-time extrusion forming does not generate waste during processing, which greatly improves a utilization rate of raw materials compared with the traditional machining method. Meanwhile, a formed piece manufactured by the present invention has complete metal streamlines, which can greatly improve its strength compared with the one manufactured by machining and avoid a risk of hydrogen embrittlement in a subsequent surface treatment.

An apparatus is provided for protectively hold an elongated object during bending and stretching of the elongated object. The apparatus includes a shell, sleds and roller sets. The shell includes a wall, support portions longitudinally extending on an internal face of the wall, and grooves separated from one another by the support portions. Each of the sleds is inserted in a corresponding one of the grooves. Each of the roller sets includes rollers attached to a corresponding one of the sleds. Each of the rollers includes a tread. The treads together provide an axial tunnel. A surface of the elongated object is in contact with the concave treads of the rollers when the elongated object is rolled in the axial tunnel during bending or stretching of the elongated object.
