Link press assembly and method of use
A link press assembly for use with a press to service a parallel link track chain is provided that includes alignment tools, disassembly tools, and reassembly tools. The alignment tools include a contact block, a plurality of block guide rods slidingly receivable within block guide rod passages of the contact block, a bridge plate for securement to a parallel link track chain, a plurality of elongated rod guides having plate guide rod passages, and a support block. The disassembly tools include a disassembly mount plate, an inner link support plate, a plurality of disassembly rods, an outer link support plate, and a disassembly tool bar having a plurality of pin bumpers. The reassembly tools include a back tool plate, a plurality of backing cups, a reassembly front tool bar having a plurality of front cups secured thereto, and a link hanger having a plurality of hanger guide rod passages.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REPAIRING CHAINS
A method of repairing a chain can include aligning a bore of an outer chain link with a bore of an inner chain link, inserting a pin through the aligned bores, the pin having a thread end opposite a head end, engaging a multi-jackbolt tensioner with the thread end of the pin, the multi-jackbolt tensioner having a plurality of fasteners, advancing each of the plurality of fasteners to press on the outer chain link, and forming an interference fit between the pin and the outer chain link at the bore of the outer chain link from the advancing of the fasteners.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING, CHAIN SUB-UNITS AND MACHINE
A method of manufacturing a chain (1), such as a cutting chain for a chain saw, includes providing or pre-assembling a plurality of chain sub-units (10). At least a sufficient property and/or a sufficient functionality of each chain sub-unit (10) are tested. A head-to-tail coupling is combined with the plurality of chain sub-units (10) provided with the sufficient property and/or sufficient functionality of the testing step to make a chain (1) of a predefined length.
CHAIN TOOL FOR DIFFERENT SPEED CHAINS
A chain tool with a main body having a first body portion and a second body portion. A driving mechanism is supported by the first body portion and movable toward and away from the second body portion. The driving mechanism includes a first driving member adapted to retain one of a pair of plates of a chain and a second driving member adapted to drive a pin through the pair of plates. A stopper adapted to stop the pin selectively connected with the second body portion between a first and a second connection way. The second body portion has a slot for connecting the stopper. In the first connection way, the stopper includes a first end inserted in the slot. In the second connection way the stopper includes a second end inserted in the slot.
CHAIN AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A CHAIN
A chain has pairs of outer link plates provided with connecting pin-insertion connecting holes; connecting pins disposed in the connecting pin-insertion connecting holes and crimped at pin ends thereof; and inner link plates disposed inside and rotatably connected to the pairs of outer link plates. Each of the connecting pin-insertion connecting holes is provided with tapered surfaces at outer hole edges thereof formed by chamfering a corner edge formed by a straight hole. The tapered surfaces are located at two places opposing in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the outer link plates. The pin ends of the connecting pins protruding outwardly from the connecting pin-insertion connecting holes are crimpled by pressing the pin ends against two places opposing in a direction perpendicular to the intermittently conveying direction to crimp the connecting pins at the segments where the tapered surfaces are provided.

Chain tool
A chain tool includes a body having a driving hole, a stop portion, and a receiving portion located between the driving hole and the stop portion in an axial direction. A pressing member is received in the receiving portion and is movable relative to the body in the axial direction. A push member is in threading connection with the first threaded portion and is movable relative to the body between a first position distant to the stop portion and a second position adjacent to the stop portion. The pressing member is pressed by the push member and moves in an arcuate path when the push member moves between the first and second positions.
Methods of assembly for wedge clutch with wedge chain
A method of assembling a clutch includes assembling a wedge chain by connecting a plurality of wedges together with links such that the wedges are movable relative to each other, and wrapping the wedge chain around an inner race. The method further includes connecting an end one of the links to an end one of the wedges to secure the chain to the inner race. The may also include installing the inner race into an outer race such that the wedge chain is radially disposed between the inner and outer races.
Chain replacement apparatus
A chain replacement apparatus includes a body seat, an operation assembly, and a repair block. The operation assembly is rotatably disposed on the body seat. The repair block is disposed on the body seat and selectively switched among a removing status, a combining status, and a riveting status, so as to, through the operation assembly, break the chain, press the outer and inner chain plates, and rivet the chain. The repair block rotates about an action axis to be switched among different statuses.
