Casting core for casting moulds, and method for the production thereof
Disclosed herein is a casting core for casting molds, the casting core comprising an inner core and an outer core arranged around the inner core. The outer core contains or consists of ceramic particles bound with a binder. The inner core contains ceramic particles bound with a binder and additionally one or more placeholder elements. The placeholder element(s) is/are at least partially thermally decomposable. Also disclosed is a method for producing the casting core and use of the casting core.

Sized molds for metal casting are obtained from molding material mixtures on the basis of inorganic bonding agents containing at least one phosphatic compound and at least one oxidic boron compound, especially sized, water glass-bound forms and cores, having at least one refractory base molding material, water glass as inorganic bonding agent and amorphous particulate silicon dioxide and one or more powdery oxidic boron compounds and one or more phosphatic compounds. The invention furthermore relates to a method for producing sized foundry mold bodies and use thereof, in particular for producing cast parts from iron alloys. The sizing is a water-based sizing.

Casting investment composition and casting process using same
The object of the present invention is to provide an embedding material composition for casting that makes it possible to conduct a favorable casting in the case where casting is conducted using a resin pattern that is different from a conventional wax pattern in disappearance temperature and disappearance behaviors through “rapid heating” excellent in treatment efficiency. The present invention relates to an embedding material composition for casting not using a heat-expandable refractory material as a main component, comprising: a binder; and a non-heat-expandable refractory material having an average particle diameter of 5 to 20 μm as main components, in which a content of the binder is 25 to 40 parts by mass and a content of the non-heat-expandable refractory material is 60 to 75 parts by mass in the case where the total amount of the main components is 100 parts by mass, and the present invention also relates to a casting process using the embedding material composition for casting.
INVESTMENT POWDER
An investment powder which is safer than conventional powders comprising tricalcium phosphate, and being substantially or entirely free of free silica in the respiratory portion yet providing an overall expansion at 750° C. of 1% or higher sufficient to prevent mould cracking during casting. A method of making a casting comprising forming a slurry by mixing a gypsum bonded investment powder with water, pouring the slurry into a stainless steel flask around a low melting point material model, allowing the slurry to set to define a mould, heating the mould to burn out the model and casting material into the mould wherein the stainless steel flask consists of a 400 series martensitic stainless steel.
Coating composition embodiments for use in investment casting methods
Disclosed herein are embodiments of a coating composition for use in investment casting. The coating composition embodiments provide a solidified coat that can be as a mold for casting castable materials and that is easily removed from the casted material using water. The coating composition embodiments disclosed herein are reusable and are non-toxic and exhibit high thermal stability.
Investment casting compositions
A composition which comprises a soluble or partially soluble phosphate, a refractory material and less than 1% of an oxide or hydroxide of magnesium or calcium. The composition may be mixed with water to form an investment casting slurry into which a wax pattern may be dipped. Slurry coated onto the pattern may be set by applying a stucco composition which comprises an oxide or hydroxide of magnesium or calcium. Coats of set slurry may be built up on the pattern to form an investment casting shell.

Process for casting nonferrous metals including light metals and casting mold
The invention relates to a molding mixture for producing casting molds for metalworking, a process for producing casting molds, casting molds obtained by the process and also their use. To produce the casting molds, a refractory mold raw material and a binder based on water glass are used. A proportion of a particulate metal oxide selected from the group consisting of silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, titanium oxide and zinc oxide is added to the binder, particular preference being given to using synthetic amorphous silicon dioxide. The molding mixture contains a phosphate as essential constituent. The use of phosphate can improve the mechanical strength of casting molds at high thermal load.
