METHOD FOR PRODUCING IRON METAL CASTINGS
A method for producing iron metal castings, wherein an expendable mold having a cavity for holding casting material is inserted into an opened multi-part permanent mold, the permanent mold is closed, the cavity is filled with casting material, wherein a supporting device partially protruding into the cavity is partially overcast, the expendable mold is cooled in the permanent mold after the filling, the permanent mold is opened during the cooling, after the liquidus temperature has been fallen below at the earliest, and the expendable mold is nondestructively removed from the permanent mold together with the casting, the expendable mold is further cooled together with the solidified casting while hanging on the supporting device, at least until the microstructure formation of the casting is concluded, the casting is demolded by removing the expendable mold.
Thermal regeneration of foundry sand
The invention relates to a method for regenerating used foundry sand, which is contaminated with soluble glass, wherein: used foundry sand is provided, which is tainted with a binding agent made of the soluble glass, to which a particle-shaped metal oxide is added; and the used foundry sand is subjected to a thermal treatment, wherein the foundry sand is heated to a temperature of at least 200° C., thereby obtaining regenerated foundry sand. The invention further relates to regenerated foundry sand, as that obtained from using the method.
FLUID HEATING FURNACE AND HEATING METHOD
A fluid heating furnace is a fluid heating furnace for recycling core sand used for a core. The fluid heating furnace includes: a fluid tank in which the core sand is heated by flowing gas while the core sand is caused to flow by the flowing gas; and a gas discharge passage communicating with the fluid tank such that the flowing gas is discharged through the gas discharge passage. The gas discharge passage includes an inlet portion via which the core sand is put into the fluid tank through the gas discharge passage. In the gas discharge passage, the flowing gas discharged through the gas discharge passage heats the core sand put into the gas discharge passage from the inlet portion, and in the fluid tank, the core sand heated in the gas discharge passage is further heated.
RETURN SAND COOLING SYSTEM AND RETURN SAND COOLING METHOD
A return sand cooling system, including: a sand moisture and temperature measuring instrument measuring the moisture content and temperature of the return sand; a control device determines an appropriate water addition amount, which is an amount of water to be added to the return sand; a water-sprinkling cooling device adds water of the appropriate water addition amount to the return sand and cools the return sand by the latent heat of vaporization of water to obtain the cooled return sand; an air introducing device that introduces air into the water-sprinkling cooling device; and an introduced air temperature and humidity measuring instrument measures the temperature and humidity of introduced air to be introduced into the water-sprinkling cooling device; the control device determining the appropriate water addition amount on the basis of the moisture content and temperature of the return sand, and the temperature and humidity of the introduced air.

Method for casting cast parts
A method for casting cast parts in which a casting mould is provided. The casting mould is enclosed in a housing, forming a filling space between an inner surface section of the housing and an associated outer surface section of the casting mould. The filling space is then filled with a free-flowing filling material and molten metal is poured in the casting mould. As a consequence a binder of the mould material begins to vaporise and combust disintegrating the casting mould. During the filling of the filling space, the filling material has a minimum temperature, starting out from which the temperature of the filling material rises, to beyond a boundary temperature at which the vaporising binder ignites and combusts.
