CONTINUOUS CASTING METHOD OF STEEL
Provided is a continuous casting method of steel that prevents a solidification completion position from being changed even when a drawing speed V of a cast slab is changed. The method includes drawing a cast slab by setting a drawing speed V0 while spraying cooling water to the cast slab at a cooling water spray amount W0 [kg/ton-cast slab]. Then, changing the drawing speed to the speed V1 while spraying cooling water to the cast slab at a cooling water spray amount W1 [kg/ton-cast slab]. The method further includes spraying cooling water to the cast slab at a cooling water spray amount Wt [kg/ton-cast slab] during a period of time t that is obtained by dividing a target length Lt by the drawing speed V0. The water spray amount Wt satisfying either formula (1): Wt<W1 under a condition of V1<V0, or formula (2): Wt>W1 under a condition of V1>V0.
FAULT DETECTION FOR ITERATIVE LEARNING CONTROL OF TIME-VARYING SYSTEMS
A twin roll casting system includes a pair of counter-rotating casting rolls having an adjustable nip therebetween, a casting roll controller configured to adjust the nip between the casting rolls in response to control signals; a cast strip sensor measuring a parameter of the cast strip and generating strip measurement signals; and an iterative learning control (ILC) controller receiving the strip measurement signals and providing control signals to the casting roll controller. The ILC controller includes a fault detection algorithm receiving the control signals and the strip measurement signals and generating a fault detection signal indicating when a fault condition is detected and an iterative learning control algorithm to generate the control signals. The fault detection algorithm indicates a fault condition when it detects the control signal exceeding an upper control saturation threshold or the ILC controller operating a state that is not guaranteed as stable.
Continuous casting method of steel
A continuous casting method of steel includes the step of bulging wide side surfaces of a slab having there inside an unsolidified layer with a total intentional bulging amount of 3 to 10 mm by increasing stepwise toward a downstream side in a casting direction a roller gap of a plurality of pairs of slab support rollers disposed in a continuous casting machine.
CONTINUOUS STEEL CASTING METHOD
Conditions for soft reduction are determined in a method of continuous casting in accordance with a method utilizing the thickness of a slab strand to prevent center segregation from occurring in the strand due to an insufficient pressing rate or internal cracks from occurring in the strand due to an excessively high pressing rate.
Light reduction method for continuous casting of bloom plain-barrelled roll-roller combination
Disclosed is a light reduction method for continuous casting of a bloom plain-barrelled roll-roll combination. The method comprises: firstly obtaining three-dimensional temperature field profile, a two-phase region, solid-phase region thickness, and solid-phase fraction of a billet, determining positions of start and end rolls of the reduction, and setting a reduction amount of each tensioner roll according to the volume shrinkage of the billet; in an interval f.sub.s=0.9-1.0 of the solid-phase fraction of the billet, performing a heavy reduction working mode; and in an interval f.sub.s=0.25-0.80 of the solid-phase fraction of the billet, performing a light reduction working mode.
METHOD TO PRODUCE A METAL STRIP, AND PRODUCTION PLANT IMPLEMENTING SAID METHOD
Method to produce metal strip that comprises the casting of a cast product through a casting machine provided with a crystallizer to obtain a slab, and the hot rolling of the slab in a rolling station to obtain metal strip. The casting machine, during casting, exerts an action of reducing the thickness of the cast product exiting the crystallizer.
