CONTAMINANT-PURGING COLD CHAMBER DIE CASTING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A die casting insert for producing die casted metal parts from liquid metal. The die casting insert has an outer casing shaped to be fixed in the die block of the die casting apparatus. The die casting insert also has a stopper with a purge opening that is adapted to evacuate contaminants topping the liquid metal as pressure is applied to the liquid metal. The stopper, fitted to mate with the hollow inner cavity of the injection sleeve, is constructed to seal the hollow inner cavity of the injection sleeve except at the purge opening when in a first position; and to permit the flow of the liquid metal into at least one molding cavity when the stopper is in a second position. The die casting insert also has an activation mechanism configured to shift the stopper between the first position and the second position.
Casting mold, insert for a casting mold, a cast part and a casting method therefor
A metal casting method and a plastic injection molding method in which an insert is molded in molten material such that no molten material enters the interior of the insert. The usage of a wire thread insert as insert has the advantage that for example in an aluminum cast part thread holes can be produced already as part of the casting process. For this purpose, the casting mold, the insert, as well as the casting method are described.
Casting device
An object is to provide a casting device that is capable of maintaining depressurization in a cavity. A casting device (1) is configured to move an extrusion pin (3), slidably inserted in an insertion hole (29) formed in a mold (2), into a cavity (20) in the mold to release a casted product. The casting device (1) includes a depressurized space creator (4) configured to create a depressurized space (40) on a reverse side of a cavity surface to define the cavity (20). The depressurized space creator (4) covers an opening of the insertion hole (29) to maintain depressurization in the cavity (20).
CASTING DIE INSPECTION METHOD AND CASTING DEVICE
Provided are a casting die inspection method and a casting device, the method including: a step for acquiring the ultimate pressure in a cavity section, at the time when a prescribed vacuuming time has elapsed since evacuation the inside of the cavity section of the casting die was started; a step for evacuating the inside of the cavity section and acquiring an increased pressure in the cavity section that has increased during a prescribed stop time, at the time when the prescribed stop time has elapsed since the evacuation was stopped; a step for evaluating a first sealing property of the casting device on the basis of the ultimate pressure; and a step for evaluating a second sealing property of the casting device on the basis of the increased pressure.
Casting and molding equipment and method of manufacturing amorphous alloy structural unit
A casting and molding equipment for producing an amorphous alloy structural unit, including an injection system, an alloy melting system, a material feeding system, a mold system, a vacuum system, and a protective gas supply system. The injection system includes an injection tube, an injection mechanism, and a plunger rod; the plunger rod is adapted to move along an inner wall of the injection tube, and the injection mechanism is configured to control a moving direction and moving speed of the plunger rod. The alloy melting system includes a melting chamber and a heating unit; the heating unit is configured to melt an alloy material in the melting chamber; the heating unit includes an induction coil or resistance wire; the melting chamber is disposed in the injection tube, and the heating unit is disposed out of the injection tube.
Hot Runner Feed System for a Diecasting Mould
A hot runner feed system is provided for a diecasting mold, wherein the feed system has a melt manifold and feed block construction having an entry-side feed inflow opening, at least one first and one second exit-side feed outflow opening which open into a mold separation plane between a fixed mold half and a movable mold half of the diecasting mold, and a casting runner-duct structure that extends so as to branch out from the feed inflow opening to the feed outflow openings. The melt manifold and feed block construction at least in an exit-side block region that includes the two feed outflow openings in a transverse direction parallel with the mold separation plane in relation to a predefined nominal operating extent is made so as to be shortened by an expansion dimension which has been predefined as a thermal transverse expansion of this block region when heated from a room temperature range to a predefined operating temperature range that is elevated in relation to said room temperature range.
Apparatus and method for molding material
Proposed are an apparatus for molding a material, and a method for molding a material by using the apparatus. The apparatus includes first and second fixed platens (110 and 120) provided as a pair and spaced a predetermined distance from each other by tie bars (150), a movable platen (140) movable along the tie bars (150) between the first and second fixed platens (110 and 120), a mold (200) which is provided with a movable mold (220) and a fixed mold (240) and which forms a molding space (260) that is capable of being open or closed as the movable mold (220) moves in a direction toward or away from the fixed mold (240), and a pressing block (300) selectively positioned between the first fixed platen (110) and the movable mold (220) such that the pressing block is capable of applying a pressure to the movable mold (220).
