Jig for firearm lower receiver manufacture
A machining tool assembly is provided for machining a blank to form a firearm lower receiver. The assembly includes a pair of side plates positionable on opposed sides of the blank to capture the blank therebetween. A template plate having a template aperture is adapted to be removeably attachable to the side plates. The template aperture is aligned with a top surface of the blank and is adapted for machining a cavity within the blank having a peripheral contour complimentary to a peripheral contour of the template aperture. A centering mechanism is adapted to be removeably attachable to the template plate, with the centering mechanism including an opening aligned with a corresponding void formed on the blank to align the blank with the template plate.

Solvent Trap Tool
An apparatus and method to aid in providing a bore through a solvent trap that is both vertical and aligned with the centerline of the solvent trap. The apparatus includes a base, cap, and drill bushing. The base includes an exterior and a first central opening that forms an interior. The first central opening is configured to receive at least a portion of a solvent trap. The cap is configured to be secured to a portion of the solvent trap and includes the drill bushing positioned within a second central opening of the cap. The drill bushing includes a third central opening configured to align a drill bit along a centerline of the solvent trap. The third central opening may be configured to permit passage of various sizes of firearm rounds.
Tool jig and method of use
A custom-made tool used to control the location and/or movement of parts to be worked to complete an unfinished metal structure into a completed firearm receiver. The tool is a two-part jig fashioned especially for building a handgun receiver from a pre-shaped metal works without the need for other industrial tools or apparatus. Using only commonly available tools in most home work shops, the disclosed jig facilitates producing a firearm receiver from an unfinished metal structure. This disclosure also teaches a method for creating a completed pistol receiver from an unfinished metal structure using the invention.

Drilling and Finishing Jig for the Manufacture of Pistols
A jig for machining firearm frames is described. The jig includes a main body, a top plate, and bushing pockets. Inserts including a rear matched-geometry insert and a front matched-geometry insert are fastened within the main body and positioned to register a location of opposing ends of a blank frame. For example, a beavertail insert shaped complementarily to a proximal end of a firearm, and a rail insert shaped complementarily to a distal end of a firearm may be used as inserts with the jig. A variety of bushing inserts can also be used with the jig to precisely register the locations for desired machining.
