PIPE CUTTER WITH GAUGE AND REAMER/BEVELLER OF CUT PIPE EDGES
20170259342 · 2017-09-14 ·

A pipe cutter with gauge and reamer/beveller of the cut edges of pipe. On the body of the pipe cutter there is at least one gauge; between it and the body a cavity is delimited capable of accepting the end of a pipe (t); each gauge having on its end a mouth that varies its diameter between a minimum (d1) at its base and a maximum (d) that coincides with the gauge of the pipe (t) it accepts. There is also at least one blade on each existing gauge or on a beveller equipped with one or several portions (S) with at least one blade on each of them. A pipe (t) is inserted in the corresponding gauge, first gauging the diameter of its cut edge and then the blades simultaneously bevel and ream the cut pipe (t) edge.

PARING AND CUTTING TOOL
20170252831 · 2017-09-07 ·

A paring and cutting tool, and a therewith associated method, for the stripping and paring of pre-insulated pipe ends, in particular of the outside diameter of the medium-conveying pipe comprising a clamping unit for the reception of the pipe end, a guide unit for the feed movement of the stripping and paring unit, wherein the guide unit extends through the clamping unit, a cutting unit for separating the outer pipe and the insulating layer, a carrier and a stripping and paring unit, wherein the stripping and paring unit has a paring element, preferably a paring blade, and a stripping element, preferably a stripping contour, for the simultaneous stripping and paring of the pipe end, in particular of the medium-conveying pipe end.

Pipe reaming apparatus

A reaming apparatus for reaming pipe may include a body having a planar front surface, an annular groove defined in the planar front surface of the body and concentric with a center of the body, and a straight groove defined in the planar front surface of the body, radially aligned with the center of the body, and intersecting the annular groove. The straight groove may pass through the center of the body. The reaming apparatus may include a reaming blade having a planar front surface and at least one notch defined in the planar front surface of the reaming blade, the at least one notch being positioned on the reaming blade to substantially align with the annular groove when the reaming blade is disposed within the straight groove. The reaming apparatus can be removably mounted to a pulley of a bandsaw to ream pipe under the power of the bandsaw.

PRECISION-CUT CASING TUBULAR FOR CENTRALIZER ASSEMBLY
20220136340 · 2022-05-05 ·

A method and downhole tool assembly, of which the method includes measuring a thickness and a location of an outer diameter surface of the tubular at a plurality of transverse planes of the tubular, simulating a cutting process to determine a position for the outer diameter surface of the tubular in a lathe, such that, after the cutting process that was simulated is conducted, the thickness of the tubular is greater than a minimum thickness and an outer diameter defined by the outer diameter surface of the tubular is less than or equal to a maximum diameter, positioning the tubular in the lathe based on the simulation of the cutting process, cutting the outer diameter surface of the tubular to reduce the outer diameter thereof to at most the maximum diameter and thereby form a turned-down region, and positioning the downhole tool on the tubular in the turned-down region.

A machine includes a tool housing defining a housing cavity; a first tool coupled to a first linear drive mechanism, the first tool linearly repositionable along an axis by the first linear drive mechanism about and between a first retracted position and an extended position, the first tool positioned within the housing cavity in the first retracted position, the first tool positioned external to the housing cavity in the extended position; and a second tool coupled to a second linear drive mechanism, the second tool linearly repositionable along the axis by the second linear drive mechanism about and between a second retracted position and a sealing position, the second tool positioned within the housing cavity in the second retracted position, the second tool positioned external to the housing cavity in the sealing position.

Peeler device
11219956 · 2022-01-11 · ·

A peeler device removes a thin layer from the outer surface of the end of a plastic pipe or tapping tee. In the preferred embodiments, the device has a main body and a mandrel. The pipe to be peeled is pushed onto the mandrel when the mandrel is in an out position. As the main body is rotated, a blade advances onto the plastic pipe and peels a thin layer off the outer surface of the pipe as it is advanced. The main body is rotated until peeling is complete. There may be a sight window in the main body to permit visual confirmation of when peeling is complete. A spring loaded blade lever is actuated to raise the blade and the pipe is pulled out of the main body.
