The present invention relates to the technical field of hand-held tools. Disclosed is a hand-held power tool, comprising: a housing; a motor; a chuck assembly; and a transmission mechanism having a drive shaft. The chuck assembly comprises a main body, a jaw, and an adjustment member threadedly connected to the jaw. The power tool has a drilling mode in which the main body, the jaw and the adjustment member rotate together, and an auto chuck mode in which the adjustment member and the main body can rotate relative to each other to realize opening and closing of the jaw. The power tool further comprises a first supporting member and a second supporting member used to rotatably support the main body at the housing. The first supporting member and the second supporting member are at least partially overlapped with the jaw in an axial direction of the drive shaft, such that the power tool is structurally compact in the axial direction. The main body is provided with an accommodation cavity therein. The first supporting member is positioned in the accommodation cavity, such that the tool is also structurally compact in a radial direction.

LOCKING CHUCK

A chuck (10) has a body (14), a plurality of jaws (22), and a rotatable nut (16). A sleeve (18) is rotatable between a first rotational position and a second rotational position with respect to the nut. An annular array of first teeth (84) are non-rotatable with respect to the body. One or more second teeth (63) are non-rotatable with respect to the nut and axially movable with respect to the body. When the teeth engage, they resist the nut's rotation in the opening direction. An engagement between the sleeve and the one or more second teeth moves the one or more second teeth out of engagement with the first teeth when the sleeve moves from the second rotational position to the first rotational position and moves the one or more second teeth into engagement with the first teeth when the sleeve moves from the first rotational position to the second rotational position.

Chuck with mode control clutch

A chuck for use with a power driver having a rotatable drive spindle is provided. The chuck may comprise a plurality of jaws, a front body, a nut, a rear body, and a clutch. The clutch may be configured to move between a working position and a jaw actuating position. In the working position, the clutch teeth may be engaged with the rear body teeth such that rotation of the rear body by the drive spindle rotates the clutch, the front body, and the jaws. In the jaw actuating position, the clutch teeth may not or need not be engaged with the rear body teeth and the rear body may be configured to rotate the nut relative to the front body to move the jaws relative to the front body.

A motor starting assembly for starting a pull start motor includes a cup that is attachable to a flywheel of a pull start motor. A cylinder is insertable into the cup and the cylinder engages the cup when the cylinder is rotated in a first direction. In this way the cylinder can rotate the crankshaft of the pull start motor for starting the pull start motor. The cylinder disengages the cup when the when the rotational speed of the cup exceeds the rotational speed of the cylinder. In this way the cylinder facilitate the pull start motor to run without rotating the cylinder. An adapter is releasably attachable to the cylinder and a power drill thereby facilitating the power drill to rotate the cylinder when the power drill is turned on for starting the pull start motor.
