COLLET
20230001492 · 2023-01-05 ·

A chuck for use with a rotary power tool having an output spindle. The chuck includes a base and an inner sleeve threadedly coupled to the base. The inner sleeve has a central aperture. A collet is disposed within the central aperture of the inner sleeve and configured to be engaged by a portion of the inner sleeve to be tightened or untightened. The chuck further includes an outer sleeve surrounding the inner sleeve, and a detent member disposed between the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve. The detent member is coupled for co-rotation with the outer sleeve and configured to selectively transmit torque from the outer sleeve to the inner sleeve. When the collet is tightened, rotation of the outer sleeve causes axial displacement of the detent member relative to the inner sleeve as the outer sleeve and the detent member rotate relative to the inner sleeve.

Clamping Apparatus
20170304907 · 2017-10-26 · ·

The disclosure relates to a clamping apparatus for fixing in a recess of a component and for holding a workpiece carrier against the component. The clamping apparatus includes a housing for attachment to the workpiece carrier and a clamping sleeve for insertion into the recess. A clamping mandrel is at least partially disposed inside the clamping sleeve. The clamping mandrel is movable relative to the clamping sleeve between a release position and a clamp position. When the clamping sleeve is inserted into the recess and the clamping mandrel is in the clamp position, the clamping sleeve is braced within the recess by a holding force so as to be in a clamped position. When the clamping sleeve is in the clamped position, the housing is movable relative to the clamping mandrel, which permits the housing to move the workpiece carrier into contact with the component and apply a bearing force thereagainst.

Hollow Shank Tool Holder

Hollow shank tool holders including stress reduction features that result in a more reliable stronger tool holder are disclosed. The tool holders include an elliptical undercut contoured relief surface adjacent to the clamping surface to substantially reduce or eliminate a stress point. The elliptical undercut allows for no changes to be made to the clamping surfaces of the tool holder.

Power tool and operation method for quick locking and releasing working attachment thereof

A power tool and operation method for quick locking and releasing working attachment thereof are provided. The power tool includes a housing; a motor in the housing; an output shaft driven by the motor; and a chuck to lock and release a working attachment, said chuck including a chuck body coupled with the output shaft, jaws movably disposed relative to the chuck body, and a clamping sleeve outside the chuck body. The clamping sleeve is movable with respect to the chuck body so as to drive the jaws to retract and open relative to the chuck body. A control mechanism is operable to lock the clamping sleeve or the chuck body relative to the housing, and to control the motor initiating along a preset rotary direction so that relative movement between the clamping sleeve and the chuck body is generated.

Clamping Device For Securing A Clamping Part

A clamping device for the securing of a clamping part is provided. The clamping device includes a stop element and a radial clamping device which define an inner space to partly hold the clamping part. The radial clamping device in a clamped condition exerts a radial securing force on the clamping part. A radial spacing exists between the radial clamping device and a clamping bush radially enclosing the clamping device. The clamping bush and the radial clamping device are radially movable relative to one another, such that the radial clamping device is mounted floating in the clamping bush.

Hand-held power tool and control method

A hand-held power tool having a machine housing, a motor, a shaft driven by the motor, and a tool socket. The tool socket is mounted on the shaft. The tool socket has a holding space to hold a tool and it has a clamping jaw situated in a link and projecting into the holding space. A carriage coupled to the clamping jaw is provided with a screw drive that has a thread on the carriage and a mating thread on the shaft. An actuation element movable between a first position and a second position is provided in order to select either the operational mode or else the loosening or tightening of the clamping jaws. A switchable coupling is mounted on the tool socket. The switchable coupling alternatingly engages either with the shaft or with the machine housing, depending on the positions of the actuation element.

CHUCK WITH LOCKING SLEEVE
20240261873 · 2024-08-08 ·

A chuck (10) for use with a power driver having a rotatable drive spindle. The chuck may include a sleeve (60) comprising a sleeve tightening surface (62) that may be configured to engage with a nut tightening surface (502) to tighten a nut (50) when the sleeve is rotated into a tightening position. With the sleeve disposed in a sleeve locked position, a click pawl (732) may be engaged with a click stopping edge (771) of one of the plurality of click teeth (756) to inhibit rotation of the nut in a first rotational direction to loosen the nut. A lock pawl (722) may also be engaged with a lock stopping edge (761) of one of the plurality of lock teeth (755) to inhibit rotation of the sleeve in a second rotational direction due to the inertia in the sleeve that would tend to further tighten the nut.

ADAPTOR WITH QUICK RELEASE MECHANISM

A quick-release adaptor for a tool for a torque limiter is provided. The quick-release adaptor has a housing having a first opening at a first end and a second opening at a second end. The first opening engages a drive shaft of the torque limiter to axially and rotationally connect the drive shaft to the housing. The second opening receives the tool. A groove is provided on an exterior of the housing between the first end and the second end. At least one through hole extends through the groove and into an interior of the housing. A ball bearing is seated within the through hole. A spring clamp is provided in the groove and extends over the ball bearing to exert a radially inward force on the ball bearing to seat the tool.
