Coupling arrangement for tool, and tool comprising coupling arrangement

A coupling arrangement for a tool, the coupling arrangement comprising a drive part rotatable about a rotation axis, the drive part comprising a drive profile; a driven part rotatable about the rotation axis, the driven part comprising a driven profile complementary to the drive profile, the driven profile being arranged to mate with the drive profile in a coupled position for torque transfer between the drive part and the driven part; and an aligning arrangement arranged to force a relative rotation between the drive part and the driven part about the rotation axis from a nonaligned state of the coupling arrangement, where the drive profile is not rotationally aligned with the driven profile, towards an aligned state of the coupling arrangement, where the drive profile is rotationally aligned with the driven profile.

Shaft retention mechanism

A retention assembly for connecting a base to a tool having a shaft includes a shaft engagement socket defining a shaft receptacle configured to receive the shaft; a retainer configured to secure the shaft to the shaft engagement socket, the retainer having a body with an opening that can receive the shaft; and at least one finger extending from the body, defining a sliding surface, and being configured to contact the shaft. The sliding surface can contact a ramp on the shaft retainer socket, and the retainer can translate relative to the shaft engagement socket, such that when it is translated toward the shaft engagement socket, the sliding surface slides along the ramp and causes the finger to move away from the shaft, and when the retainer is translated away from the shaft engagement socket, the sliding surface slides along the ramp and causes the finger to move towards the shaft.

Hand tool holding structure

A hand tool holding structure includes a first body, a second body, multiple third bodies, a fourth body, an elastic member, and a fifth body. The first body has a first pivot portion, a second pivot portion, a mounting portion, multiple first receiving slots, a first abutting edge, and a second abutting edge. The second body has a second receiving slot, a first abutting portion, a third receiving slot, and a second abutting portion. Each of the third bodies has a locking portion, a first inclined plane, an abutting face, a second inclined plane, and a third abutting portion. The fourth body has a fourth receiving slot, a fifth receiving slot, and a third inclined plane. The elastic member is mounted on the second pivot portion and biased between the second abutting edge and the second abutting portion. The fifth body is mounted on the first body.

Bit holder

A bit holder includes a body, a spring, a retaining member, and a collar. The body includes a first end and a second end. The body defines a longitudinal bore configured to receive a tool bit and an opening in communication with the longitudinal bore. The spring is disposed on the body. The retaining member is disposed in the opening and is configured to selectively extend into the longitudinal bore to retain the tool bit within the longitudinal bore. The collar is disposed on the body and is biased toward the first end of the body by the spring. The collar is movable in a direction along the body against the spring to secure the tool bit within the longitudinal bore. The collar is movable further in the direction along the body against the spring to enable the bit holder to release the tool bit from the longitudinal bore.
