A rotary cutting tool comprises a tool body having an axis of rotation (L) and a cylindrical shank, which comprises at least one locking groove via which the cutting tool can be axially locked in a tool holder. The locking groove has an axial groove, which extends from an axial end on the receiving side in axial direction (A) to an axial stop, and a circumferential groove, which is laterally adjacent to the axial groove and extends away from the axial stop and the axial groove in circumferential direction (U) toward a rotation stop. The circumferential groove comprises a first end face and a second end face opposite to said first end face, both of which extend in a plane that is perpendicular to the axis of rotation (L). A tool assembly having such a rotary cutting tool and a tool holder having a cylindrical tool receptacle for the cutting tool is provided as well.

CLAMPING DEVICE FOR A TOOL OR WORKPIECE, DRAW-IN COLLET AND COUPLING ELEMENT FOR THE CLAMPING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE CLAMPING DEVICE
20230090540 · 2023-03-23 ·

A clamping device for a tool or workpiece has a draw-in collet and a coupling element. The clamping device has first and second bayonet closures with which the draw-in collet can be locked and braced against the coupling element. The first and second bayonet closures are brought into engagement at the same time, as a result of which the draw-in collet is locked against the coupling element using the first bayonet closure, and the draw-in collet is braced against the coupling element using the second bayonet closure. First, the draw-in collet is pushed into the coupling element with partial actuation of the bayonet closures. Then the draw-in collet is rotated relative to the coupling element with a further partial actuation of the bayonet closures, and finally the draw-in collet is withdrawn to thereby lock the first bayonet closure and to brace the second bayonet closure.

Collet chuck with special interaction between the collet and the clamping nut
20170348777 · 2017-12-07 ·

A collet chuck for clamping a tool shank, comprising a chuck body, a collet and a multi-part clamping nut consisting of a clamping ring and a threaded section rotatably connected to each other via rolling elements, otherwise connected in an interlocking manner, wherein the clamping ring and the collet comprise interlocking coupling elements designed such that the collet can be inserted into the collet housing through the central opening, facing away from the chuck body, of the clamping ring held on the chuck body, while the coupling elements move past each other, and then the coupling elements can be brought into engagement with each other by rotating the clamping ring relative to the collet, so that the clamping ring can transmit the forces applied to it by the threaded section during tightening to the collet via the coupling element and can drive the collet into the chuck body.

Chuck and clamp with quick change function
09821377 · 2017-11-21 · ·

A chuck with a chuck body having a guide opening and an actuating element, and with at least one interchangeable clamp that can be inserted into the guide opening. The clamp has associated therewith a rotary disk with a blocking element that secures the rotary disk against rotation relative to the chuck body during insertion of the clamp into the guide opening. This makes it possible that, upon a rotation of the clamp about the longitudinal axis in the guide opening, a segment can be displaced outward toward the chuck body by the rotation relative to the rotary disk, via which the clamp is detachably secured on the chuck body. A clamp with a clamp body, a pivot body located in the clamp body, and a chucking element is also provided. The clamp has, at the opposite end of the clamping element, a locking unit that carries the pivot body.

A rotatable chuck for clamping a shank portion of a rotatably operating machining tool includes a rotatable chuck body provided with a cylindrical bore concentric with a rotation axis of the chuck body. The circumferential surfaces of a clamping portion of the bore are arranged to apply a clamping force around the circumference of the shank portion of the tool when it is mounted in the chuck to fixate the tool in the chuck. The chuck is provided with auxiliary pull out preventing means for preventing inadvertent pull out of the tool in the axial direction of the bore during machining operation, as well as auxiliary rotary preventing means for preventing inadvertent rotation in at least one direction in relation to the chuck during machining operation. The auxiliary pull out and rotary preventing means include an attachment member positionable in an inner portion of the bore and attachable to the shank portion to be clamped, such that the tool and the attachment member will be prevented from being pulled apart in the axial direction and from being rotated in at least one direction in relation to each other.

Device for the controlled stabilization of tool holder shanks
11819929 · 2023-11-21 · ·

A device for the controlled stabilization of tool holder shanks on the respective ring nut, the tool holder shanks, motorized or non-motorized, being predisposed for ER or other type fixing. The device comprises a ring nut and a tool holder shank of a truncated conical shape provided externally with a groove in which means connecting the ring nut to the tool holder are arranged inside the ring nut. The connecting means consist of an annular body formed of at least two shaped half-rings that define opposite protrusions projecting outwardly and centrally to form a shaped prominence having an arched-convex outer profile; on each of the shaped prominences a recess is made predisposed to house respective elastic pins, by means of which the shaped half-rings are firmly connected inside the ring nut blind holes.

Clamping chuck with inclined slides

A clamping chuck having a body (2) with a slidable spindle (7) in a housing (9). The housing is inclined relative to the axis (xx′) of the chuck and exiting through the front face (3), the spindle (7) movement driven by a piston (19) along the chuck axis and the spindle equipped with a groove (15) into which slides a drive section (25) of the piston. An end of the spindle (7) has a notch (17) exiting into the groove (15) such that, when positioning the spindle from the front face (3) of the chuck, allows the spindle (7) to move along the drive section (25) and touch the latter and enable its groove (15) to be positioned facing the drive section (25), such that such that after one rotation of the spindle (7) around its axis (uu′), the groove (15) engages with the drive section (25).
