Cutting tool part assembly

A cutting head attachment assembly for a cutting tool includes a body forming an axially forward part of the cutting tool attachable to a cutting head via a clamping element and a fixation element. A guide surface provided at the body or cutting head extends in both a radial and an axial direction to support movement of the clamping element in both the radial and axial directions via actuation of the fixation element to force and clamp together axially the head and body.

Spacer for spacing a tool from a tool stand

A spacer (1) for spacing a tool such as a drill motor from a tool stand such as a drill stand, the spacer (1) comprising a spacer body (2) and a locking member (3), the spacer body (2) having first (4) and second (5) opposing faces, the locking member (3) extending from a first end (6) thereof adjacent to the first face (4) to a second end (7) thereof adjacent to the second face (5), the locking member (3) being able to slide relative to the spacer body(2) along a direction from the first end (6) to the second end (7), the first end (6) and the second end (7) each being provided with at least one locking surface(10, 11), wherein the spacer (1) is arranged such that at application of a locking force each locking surface (10, 11) of one of the first and second ends (6, 7) transmits the locking force to each locking surface (10,11) of the other of the first and second ends (6, 7).

A cutting tool includes a cutting head and a tool shank, each having an axial abutment surface. One of the two includes a coupling pin, while the other includes a pin receptacle and a clamping through bore that opens out to the pin receptacle. The coupling pin has an engagement groove and the pin receptacle has an engagement ridge. The coupling pin is received into the pin receptacle. The cutting head and tool shank are releasably attached together by a fastening member that passes through the clamping through bore and acts on the coupling pin so that the engagement groove abuts the engagement ridge and the axial abutment surfaces on each part abut each other.
