Position adjustment device and ultraprecision machine tool
A position adjustment device for adjusting the height of an object to be supported includes: a fixed portion; a movable portion provided to be movable in the height direction relative to the fixed portion and supporting the object to be supported; an expanding and contracting portion coupled to the fixed portion and the movable portion and configured to expand and contract in the height direction; an adjustment mechanism configured to adjust the position of the movable portion in the height direction relative to the fixed portion; and a metal member fixed to the fixed portion and the movable portion.
Bi-Directional Roller Corrugating Tool Holder
A cutter insert tool holder effects bidirectional linear cuts on a work surface. The tool holder includes two elongated slots sized to accommodate first and second cutting insert holders. The tool holder includes an actuator arm that is placed in a first pivoting position by contacting the work surface while the tool holder is displaced along the work surface in a first direction, the pivoting actuator arm causes an actuator cam to contact and engage the second cutting insert holder so that it is withdrawn while the first cutting insert forms a cut in the work surface. When the tool holder is displaced along the work surface in a second direction opposite the first direction, the pivoting actuator arm causes the actuator cam to contact and engage the first cutting insert holder so that it is withdrawn while the second cutting insert forms a cut in the work surface.
Miter bar pocket hole jig systems and methods
Jigs, fixtures, accessories, and the like for locating, aligning, guiding, engaging, and/or holding a workpiece on a woodworking machinery during a woodworking operation are described, as well as methods of making, modifying, and using jigs, fixtures, and accessories.
HOLDER FOR A VIBRATION-ASSISTED CUTTING TOOL
A holder provided for mounting of a lathe cutter includes a carrier, a first joint seat, a second joint seat, a limit rod and a clamp member. The first and second joint seats are disposed on a first and second base of the carrier respectively. The lathe cutter is mounted between the first and second joint seats. The limit rod is inserted into a through hole of the lathe cutter, and a first and second ends of the limit rod are coupled to the first and second joint seats respectively. The clamp member is disposed on the limit rod. The clamp member and the second joint seat are provided to clamp the lathe cutter to separate the lathe cutter from the first and second bases.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF RE-PROFILING LOCOMOTIVE RAILCAR WHEELS
An apparatus reconfigures or configures a wheel associated with a train. The apparatus comprises a tool configured to engage the wheel a compound slide system for positioning the cutting tool in at least two axes. The compound slide system is controlled so that the wheel is configured in accordance with a profile. The slide system can be moved mechanically and/or pneumatically and/or can use a mechanical profile. The apparatus can have a low profile and a low weight.
CHUCK JAW
There is disclosed a chuck jaw (10.1, 10.2, 10.3) for securing a workpiece (12) to a lathe chuck. The chuck jaw (10.1, 10.2, 10.3) includes a jaw body (16) adapted for operative mounting to the lathe chuck. The chuck jaw (10.1, 10.2, 10.3) further includes at least one holding element (18) operatively associated with the jaw body (16) and adapted to engage the workpiece (12). The at least one holding element (18) is moveable between (i) a release condition in which the holding element (18) is released from the workpiece (12), and (ii) an engaged position in which the holding element (18) engages a surface of the workpiece. The chuck jaw (10.1, 10.2, 10.3) further includes a clamping assembly (20) operatively adapted to secure the at least one holding element (18) in the engaged position.
MACHINE TOOL
The present invention provides a machine tool in which drops in lathe precision can be prevented and the angle of rotation of a lathe tool can be set. The machine tool comprises: a spindle head to which a spindle is provided: a tool holder which holds the lathe tool and is mounted on the spindle; a securing member, provided to the spindle head, for securing the lathe tool while allowing adjustment of the angle of rotation of the lathe tool: and an attachment member, provided to the tool holder, for attaching the lathe tool to the securing member at an adjusted angle of rotation, wherein the angle of rotation of the lathe tool is adjusted in accordance with where on the securing member the attachment member is attached.
MACHINE TOOLS
A representative machine comprises a non-rigid robotic device having a tool head; and a rigid inertial stiffening system that is part of a tool head and includes a mass to provide precise position of the tool head. The rigid inertial stiffening system achieves high positional precision of the tool head, in the face of large disturbing forces by locally accelerating the mass to counter the disturbing forces.
Drilling machine and laser alignment system thereof
A laser alignment system is affixed to a drilling machine M, the laser alignment system contains: a base, two first fixers, two lamp holders, two second fixers, two first resilient elements, two first adjustable screws, two second resilient elements, and two second adjustable screws. The base includes two symmetrical holding sections, two extensions, and two peripheral orifices. Each first fixer has a first arcuate portion, an accommodation hole, a first threaded hole, a limitation hole, a first protrusion and a second protrusion. Each lamp holder includes a peripheral knob, a first receiving orifice, a first rotation portion, a second rotation portion, and a swing portion. Each second fixer includes a second arcuate portion, a second receiving orifice, a first projection and a second projection.
