Railroad Track Rail Drill

A rail drill drive train can include a common drive end between a single drive motor and a common gear. A speed train end can extend from the common gear to rotate the drill spindle. A feed train end can independently extend from the common gear to advance and retract the drill spindle. The speed train end can include a sprag gear so that, without unmeshing any gears, the drill spindle is not unnecessarily rotated in the reverse direction when the drive motor is reversed to retract the drill spindle. A rail drill control circuit and related sensors can enable automatic operation throughout the complete drilling cycle without any manual input from the user other than starting the cycle. Such a fully automatic drilling cycle can minimize overall cycle time to preserve battery life and can free the user to perform other tasks between drill moving and clamping operations.

The limit rod is inserted into a through hole of the lathe cutter, and a first and second ends of the limit rod are coupled to the first and second joint seats respectively. The clamp member is disposed on the limit rod. The clamp member and the second joint seat are provided to clamp the lathe cutter to separate the lathe cutter from the first and second bases.

CLAMPING TOOL HOLDER

A clamping tool holder includes a tool holder body and a clamp for clamping a cutting insert. The clamp causes the cutting insert to press against the bottom and the side walls of an insert-receiving pocket of the tool holder body. The tool holder body has an inclined surface sloping inward in a direction away from the insert-receiving pocket. The clamp has an inclined surface that acts as a ramp with the inclined surface of the tool holder body. When a clamp screw is tightened, a nub of the clamp engages an inside rearward surface of a mounting bore of the insert with face contact and a contact pad engages a top surface of the cutting insert. As a result, the clamp exerts a force downward and rearward force on the insert. In one aspect, the nub has a polygonal cross-sectional shape.

CONVERSION ASSEMBLY FOR MANUAL LATHES, MILLS, GRINDERS, AND OTHER MANUALLY-OPERATED MACHINE TOOLS

A conversion assembly for affixing a modern guideway to a manually operated machine tool guideway in a nondestructive manner. The conversion assembly mates to the existing machine tool guideway using surface tension via non-destructive compressive and/or tensile forces in order provide a suitable support surface upon which a modern guideway can be affixed.

CLAMPING DEVICE FOR A TOOL OR WORKPIECE, DRAW-IN COLLET AND COUPLING ELEMENT FOR THE CLAMPING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE CLAMPING DEVICE
20230090540 · 2023-03-23 ·

A clamping device for a tool or workpiece has a draw-in collet and a coupling element. The clamping device has first and second bayonet closures with which the draw-in collet can be locked and braced against the coupling element. The first and second bayonet closures are brought into engagement at the same time, as a result of which the draw-in collet is locked against the coupling element using the first bayonet closure, and the draw-in collet is braced against the coupling element using the second bayonet closure. First, the draw-in collet is pushed into the coupling element with partial actuation of the bayonet closures. Then the draw-in collet is rotated relative to the coupling element with a further partial actuation of the bayonet closures, and finally the draw-in collet is withdrawn to thereby lock the first bayonet closure and to brace the second bayonet closure.

PROTECTIVE DEVICE FOR DRILL CHUCK HAVING A MIXED GASKET WITH INDEPENDENT MOVING FINS

A protective device is provided that covers a drill chuck to protect it from dust or debris that may be released when a material is being drilled. The protective device has a mixed gasket comprising two sheets with fins that in their central part have independent movement where both are perforated (female type), while the other sheet contains caps (males) that are joined for better manufacturing, wherein said males are long so that they pierce the female holes and embed themselves in a base that is located directly in the protective device, allowing its adequate fastening.

Tube Notching Apparatus With Adjustable Positioning Features

A rotary tube notching apparatus is provided that is capable of operable attachment to a powered rotational drive device. The apparatus comprises a tube support assembly defining an aperture for receiving a tube and having a clamp for securing the tube against movement in relation to the aperture. A shaft assembly is provided for receiving a cutting tool, and a carriage assembly is rotatably mounted to the shaft assembly. The carriage assembly has at least one fastener for securing the shaft assembly in relation to the aperture. The shaft assembly is selectively repositionable in relation to the aperture in an offset dimension defined by linear displacement from a central axis of the aperture, in a yaw dimension defined by a plane extending along a central axis of the aperture, and in a roll dimension defined by a cross-sectional circumference of a tube received within the aperture.
