Boring tool
A boring tool has one or more cutters whose radial and axial positions are both easily adjusted. The radial positions are adjusted by the axial movement of wedges that press against cartridges holding the cutters. The axial positions are adjusted by the axial movement of screws that support the cartridges holding the cutters.
KEY CUTTING
A milling module for a key cutting machine, the module comprising a first rotary cutter and a second rotary cutter. The first and second rotary cutters each include a gear and a shaft projecting from the gear. The shaft includes one or more cutting blades. The milling module further comprises a housing configured to locate the gears of the first and second rotary cutters, such that the gears of the first and second rotary cutters are arranged in a gear train.
Adjustable cartridge for boring bar
An adjustable cartridge for a boring bar includes a support structure including a surface for abutment with a peripheral area of a boring bar. A load-bearing structure mounts a cutting insert assembled to be movable in a first direction on the support structure. An adjustment mechanism is arranged to adjust the position of the load-bearing structure in relation to the support structure. The adjustment mechanism includes at least a first elastic means arranged to exert force against a first surface of the load-bearing structure, and an adjustment part disposed between the support structure and a second surface of the load-bearing structure and arranged to contact and to be movable in a second direction relative to the support structure and the load-bearing structure. The adjustment part has a surface that forms an acute angle with the second direction and is disposed in contact with a second surface of the load-bearing structure.
MECHANISM FOR OPTIMISING A MANUAL ANGULAR ADJUSTMENT
A mechanism for the optimisation of a manual angular adjustment.
The object of this invention concerns an assembly including: A fixed mount (1); A part (2) having at least one approximately circular face mounted on the fixed mount (1) so that the part (2) is mounted so as to be mobile in rotation around an axis approximately centred on the circular
characterised in that the assembly also includes a device for the positional adjustment of the part in relation to the mount including at least: One first scale (4) in an area (5) linked to the fixed mount (1) positioned on at least one portion of the periphery of the mobile part (2), the first scale (4) being a measuring scale; One second scale (6) positioned on the circular face of the mobile part (2), the second scale (6) being a Vernier scale.
Cutting insert for profiling turning and cartridge for receiving a cutting insert
A cutting insert for profile turning, in particular for wheel profile turning, includes an upper surface, a lower surface, and side surfaces. At the transition from the upper surface to the side surfaces two cutting edges are formed for machining a workpiece and two further edges each having two ends. The two cutting edges are designed part-circular in shape and each extend from one end of one of the two edges to the opposite end of the other of the two edges. Also described is a cartridge for holding a cutting insert, the cartridge being mountable on a machine tool. The cartridge has a main seating surface having a plane angle () of greater than 90 to the axis of rotation (D) of the workpiece.
CUTTING TOOL WITH ADDITIONAL SHAFT-SIDE SECONDARY CUTTING TOOLS
Cutting tool, which is driven with its shaft so that it rotates about its longitudinal axis or in a pushing and pulling manner, and wherein further shaft-side secondary cutting tools are fastened to the shaft, wherein the secondary cutting tools are fastened to the shaft of the cutting tool in an exchangeable manner.
Tool, template, cassette, and method for grooving a roller
The tool according to the invention comprises a tool body and a cassette for machining a roller. At least one machining device can be fastened, in particular detachably, onto and/or in the cassette. In particular, the machining device is a cutting device, preferably for grooving a roller. The tool has a positioning device for orienting the cassette in the tool body at a predetermined position.
Cartridge case preparation rotor device
The cartridge case preparation rotor device trims cartridge cases to overall length correctly and further prepares them for reloading. The rotor holds multiple case preparation tools so that the user may conveniently and precisely apply them more squarely to a turning cartridge case. The rotor slides and turns on a rod mounted opposite a variable speed motor fitted with a chuck turning a case holder. Flexibility of the rod and oscillation of the rotor permit each tool to follow case eccentricity. An enlarged grip on the case holder simplifies installation and removal of cases. A neck cleaning tool cleans the inside and outside of the case neck simultaneously. The rotor may be slid along and turned upon the rod manually, or the motor and rotor can be mounted on a progressive press. The pushbutton control switch can be pressed by hand, or set on the floor as a foot switch.
Adjustable indexable drill and modular system and holder
An adjustable drill has a drill body having a face surface with a directional feature provided therewith. At least one cartridge is mounted adjacent the face surface and selectively slidable along the directional feature to provide adjustment. At least one insert is releasably affixed in an insert pocket provided in the cartridge. In further examples, the adjustable drill may have a central cutting system in combination with the adjustable cartridge type system, wherein the central cutting system may be modular. There may also be provided a modular type of holder arrangement to provide flexibility to adapt the system for various applications.
